RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business offers another serving of ultra violence to indulge in but doesn’t do much by way of new spins on the original’s action. It’s a form of mindless fun that’s as familiar as it is ferocious.

RoboCop Rogue City Unfinished Business is a repetitive slog coasting on the goodwill of a venerated licensed IP to mask a deadening mix of mediocre shooting, repetitive levels, and a bland story.

Unfinished Business is a great evolution of Teyon's take on RoboCop, with the more focused narrative and progression helping the story to push you through some combat encounters, whilst also adding some excellent lore to the wider world of Alex Murphy. If you enjoyed the first game, and maybe even if you didn't, then I can recommend this return to Detroit. You have more than ten seconds to comply, but resistance is futile.

RoboCop: Rogue City Unfinished Business feels just as fun as the first game, offering interesting additions that reinforce the affection for the 1980s cyborg cop. However, the feeling of repetition and lack of variety persists despite the new features. Furthermore, its technical glitches and bugs hinder the final result more than necessary.

Unfinished Business isn't a disaster, but it's not something that will stick in the memory of RoboCop fans either. It's a conservative expansion, simply replicating on a smaller scale what worked in the base game, without adding enough personality to make it a must-buy.

While it doesn’t reinvent anything, Unfinished Business is a satisfying extension for those eager to jump back into RoboCop’s boots.

It’s a shame Unfinished Business doesn’t improve upon the original Rogue City in terms of polish, then, but it’s easy to forgive thanks to the same blood-soaked action being further enhanced by having new enemies to fight and new ways to do it.

Robocop: Unfinished Business doesn’t reinvent the wheel; it just straps some spikes on it and rolls it through a burning tower full of mercs.

You can't really go wrong with Unfinished Business if you enjoyed its underrated predecessor, but expectations need to be kept in check. This standalone follow-up is disappointingly rough around the edges, and although its comically violent combat remains satisfying, it's not varied enough to elevate the entire action-heavy campaign.Still, we're never going to say no to more Rogue City. Teyon still manages to capture the campy 80s spirit of RoboCop here, and that'll drive most players to the top of OmniTower.

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business sets out its stall just by virtue of its title and has enough in the tank to provide for a worthwhile outing, particularly at its lower price point. For those who found a lot to love in the preceding Rogue City, you'll find something very similar here, which is not nearly as much to its detriment as it is to its good.

Without reinventing the formula, Unfinished Business delivers exactly where it matters: a concentrated dose of retro, brutal, and stylish action that stays true to the spirit of RoboCop. By narrowing its focus, the game improves its pacing, clarity, and overall impact. The fan service is there, the shooting is satisfying, and despite a few bugs and aging tech, the experience holds up.

Could it have more varied environments? Yes. Could the AI be a little sharper? Yes. But none of that prevents us from looking at an expansion that not only delivers, but expands on what we've seen before. RoboCop remains the law, and this time he proves it from the bottom to the top of Detroit.

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business takes the core of Teyon's extremely solid effort at recreating Paul Verhoeven's violent classic and merely provides players with more. It's a standalone experience that should scratch the itch of players who want more RoboCop.

Robocop: Unfinished Business is an absolute blast to play for both newcomers and veterans alike, with Teyon creating a focused experience that sets a very frantic pace for its main story while ensuring that its visuals and audio sustain the quality of its top-notch gameplay. Robocop feels like a real tank and a force to be reckoned with in the field, while his human side gets a couple of nice touches in quiet moments, making his time in OmniTower well worth experiencing for yourself.

RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is more of the brutal, authentic RoboCop power fantasy fans loved when it comes to its intense combat. Gunplay is as meaty and over-the-top as before for the series, with the iconic Auto 9 still stealing the show. However, the expansion comes with some uneven pacing and technical issues that weren't present in the original. It's one for fans of the first game's action but be prepared for a few rough edges in its current state.

Essentially, if you enjoyed RoboCop: Rogue City, then grab RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, as it's essentially more of the same but with some tweaks here and there. If you haven't played the original but you'd like to play a game in which you get to be RoboCop, either is fine, but certainly grab a copy, as it's a lot of fun!
