Dispatch is a very uneven experience. It has polish in some places but severely lacks it in others. It has great characters but you don’t get to spend much time with the good ones. The dispatching segments can be fun but feel somewhat shallow. The game has sparks of absolute brilliance, though can use those sparks to start a dumpster fire. It’s worth playing and enjoyable for any fans of narrative focused games or superheroes, but might be memorable for the wrong reasons.

Narrative brilliance wrapped in a clever episodic shell, Dispatch subverts genre expectations not by spectacle, but by empathy. It reminds us that the best superhero stories are not only about flights and fights, but about the humans - flawed, funny, fragile - trying to make sense of it all.

The remnants of Telltale are back in full force with a superhero workplace comedy that's up there with the late studio's best, despite a few stumbles along the way.

You would think that a Telltale-style episodic adventure game wouldn't take off in this day and age, but Dispatch will prove you wrong (and offer an incredibly endearing story to boot).

Dispatch is a very interesting spin on the „interactive adventure” formula, and this band of super-misfits probably will steal your hearts as efficiently as the Guardians of the Galaxy or Invincible’s allies did some years earlier. And the best part: the developers have total control and don’t have to listen to any IP owners out there. This game really is a great animated series.

Courtesy of an excellent, funny, and heartfelt superhero story that peeks at life behind the mask, Dispatch has made a late charge at the year’s top gong with a scintillating and near flawless eight-episode run, all the while bettering even Telltale’s hallowed best.

Dispatch is an incredible narrative experience wrapped around an idea so good that it could stand alone as its own game.

There's a reason everyone is talking about Dispatch, and it's because it's a successful experiment. AdHoc Studios' debut doesn't aim to explode with power, but to burn slowly, like the superhero stories that have understood they're not super anymore.

AdHoc Studio have knocked it out of the park with its comedic take on the superhero life. Thanks to its high-quality graphics, voice acting, story, characters, music, and gameplay, you'll be immersed the entire time you uncover the incredible story of Mecha Man and the Z-Team.

There are more narrative-based adventure games today than there were during Telltale Games' heyday, but Dispatch manages to distinguish itself from the crowd. That's the sign of a true hero.

If you are debating about picking up Dispatch, just pick it up; you’ll be glad you did. The release of episodes within a close window is what kept players’ attention and made them come back for more immediately, rather than waiting weeks.

Not every superhero wears capes or has superpowers, and Dispatch puts this axiom front and centre in an enjoyable and engaging narrative experience.

I had no trouble ripping through the eight episodes and eagerly await the potential announcement of a second season. I found myself genuinely buying into the redemption arcs of your motley crew of villains-turned-heroes; it's rare for a story to hit with basically every character, but Dispatch doesn't miss in this regard. Even if it doesn't go for an immediate follow-up, AdHoc Studio is now firmly on my radar for a genre I had fallen out of love with years ago.

Dispatch delivers one of the strongest superhero stories in recent years, blending sharp writing, memorable characters, and stylish presentation. While the Switch 2 version runs smoothly and looks great, heavy visual censorship, limited interactivity, and a lack of player control over mission outcomes make it a compromised way to experience an otherwise excellent game.

Dispatch is an absolute whale of a time. The superhero workplace shenanigans are compelling, funny, beautifully written and brought to life by exceptional performances and some of the finest writing the medium can offer. The branching narrative and impactful choices are always felt, even if some of the outcomes are a little predictable or slightly too black and white. Still, this is a narrative adventure that Telltale fans will not want to miss — in fact, Dispatch establishes itself at the pinnacle of the genre.
