Invincible VS is a very solid fighting game. The story is undoubtedly its weakest point, but the fun you'll get from the arcade and online modes is enough to keep you hooked for hours

Invincible VS is a faithful and enjoyable tag‑fighter with a simple but surprisingly deep combat system. Despite rough animations and some repetitive moves, it's a solid debut that both newcomers and fans can enjoy.

Invincible VS pulls together many concepts and mechanics from fighting games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Killer Instinct (It certainly helps that Quarter Up do have devs from Double Helix, the studio which revived KI in the 2010s) and Mortal Kombat. The end result is something that is accessible to both casual Invincible fans as well as fighting game veterans.

Invincible VS captures the chaotic energy, brutal violence, and larger-than-life spectacle that make the Invincible universe so compelling to visit in the first place.

Invincible VS is a fantastic experience, regardless of whether or not you're a fan of the fighting game genre and the original series. While the limited roster and bare bones story mode are disappointing, the satisfying gameplay, rich mechanical systems, numerous single-player and multiplayer options, and brilliant netcode will hook you right from the start. I can't wait to see what this game's future brings.

While its story mode is somewhat shallow and disappointing, along with a lack of depth as far as its modes are concerned, there’s still enough to cling onto in terms of its mechanics that make this a contender worth checking out.

Invincible VS builds a fast, brutal, and accessible 3v3 fighting foundation, but its limited roster variety and underdeveloped story make it feel like the first chapter of something still evolving.

Invincible VS would have been a great fighting game if a little more time had been spent on its story mode. Still, if you’ve got people to battle online, there’s no better reason to step into this superhero arena.

Aimed primarily at fans of the franchise, Invincible VS is a rather enjoyable fighting game for playing against friends. It’s accessible, so it’s easy to pick up and immediately fun, especially for fans of gory fighting games where you just need to hammer away at the controller to get by. However, its lacklustre single-player content and its combo system—which leaves room for improvement and ultimately feels repetitive—prevent it from becoming a must-have in the genre.

It’s impossible to tell if Invincible Vs as a whole will stick around since quality fighting games don’t always get the attention they deserve, but it has the potential to.

Invincible VS is far more than a licensed fighting game. With deep 3v3 combat mechanics, outstanding faithfulness to the source material and impressive replay value, it has all the ingredients to become a serious contender in the competitive fighting game scene.

Invincible Vs lands its best punch by selling you the fantasy of overwhelming power, then quietly teaching you how to shred your opponents to tinsel properly.

Invincible VS understands the license’s brutality with accessible, violent, and spectacular 3v3 fights, although it needs more content to stand against the genre’s biggest names.

Broadly speaking, Invincible VS is a game with far more positives than negatives, but it’s worth noting that the negatives are quite significant.

Invincible VS is a game deeply aware of its identity: Quarter Up didn't try to create a casual fighting game disguised as a competitive experience, but instead built a technical, thoughtful, and surprisingly mental tag fighter, taking the soul of Killer Instinct and adapting it to the brutal universe of Invincible.

The game's story is also engaging and full of fascinating details, but it's very short and can be considered a lighthearted episode that you can watch in one sitting

Invincible VS delivers a brutal and surprisingly accessible take on the 2D fighting genre. Its fast-paced 3v3 combat shines with fluid mechanics, creative tag-team combos and a faithful adaptation of the franchise’s violent identity. While the short story mode and unstable online performance hold it back from greatness, the strong roster variety and satisfying gameplay make it a solid recommendation for both Invincible fans and fighting game enthusiasts.

Invincible VS blends the franchise's mature aesthetic with fluid, easy-to-learn 3v3 tag-team mechanics, delivering a highly enjoyable fighting game, especially for fans of the series. However, with an overly arcade-like feel and a story mode that lasts only an hour and ends abruptly, it may not fully satisfy players looking for the depth of traditional fighting games.

Invincible VS is a great tag fighter that utilizes the franchise’s identity to a remarkable level. Its top-notch presentation, noticeable competitive depth, and easy-to-grasp approachability make it a game worth playing for fans of the series and the genre alike. It still hasn’t quite reached its final form just yet, but it has the potential to become truly Invincible.
