Forza Horizon 6 Reviews
As you'd expect, Forza Horizon 6 is the biggest and perhaps best entry in the series yet. Its recreation of Japan is absolutely brilliant too, with some truly scenic locations to visit and race across. It's just a shame that Playground Games plays it a little too safe, with this essentially feeling like Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Horizon 4 before it – but with a new map.
Forza Horizon 6 is not only the best entry in the series, but one of the greatest arcade racers ever made. It captures the pure joy of driving in a way few games still do, in a genre that feels increasingly rare today. Its recreation of Japan is stunning and authentic, blending a vibrant open world with a deep respect for car culture. Add hundreds of hours of content, strong online play, and outstanding audiovisual presentation, and you get a game that simply feels complete.

Yes, the familiar formula at the heart of the game is still very much intact. At times, it even makes you think that you've played this before. But once you start speeding beneath Tokyo’s neon lights or weaving through the chaos of the Shuto Expressway, that feeling quickly fades away.

Forza Horizon 6 does not reinvent Playground Games' formula, but it may be one of its happiest and most refined expressions. Its Japan is a stunning, emotionally charged driving fantasy, balancing spectacle, exploration and quiet moments of beauty with a clearer progression and a slightly deeper driving model. Tokyo can feel a bit too clean and artificial at times, but the game remains huge, generous, accessible and constantly joyful.

Forza Horizon 6 combines picturesque Japanese scenery with perfectly tuned racing to create a racer that you'll keep coming back to. 🗾
Forza Horizon 6 proves that it is not just a new entry in a successful series but rather the strongest statement for racing games this generation, setting a new standard in the industry. Through moving the festival to the beautiful Japanese lands, Playground Games succeeded in delivering a perfect mix between the classic direct progression system and innovation in the side modes. And although the graphical leap may not be revolutionary by the standards of previous generations, the attention to graphical details and the strong sound engineering make driving any car in the streets of Japan a unique unforgettable experience.

Forza Horizon 6 isn’t perfect, and diehards still have a wishlist. But when you’re blasting through cherry blossoms, threading Tokyo’s expressways or just vibing along a mountain pass while the soundtrack does its thing, it’s very hard to imagine a better place to be behind the virtual wheel.
Forza Horizon 6 is the ultimate arcade racing experience, an unforgettable celebration of speed, culture, and sheer driving joy set against a breathtaking recreation of Japan. Playground Games hasn’t just raised the bar again, they’re playing the game by their own rules, and they are winning.

Forza Horizon 6 remains an excellent racing game. It’s beautiful, smooth, accessible, and offers an impressive amount of content. In fact, the online modes are well-designed, and the new menu makes them much easier to access. However, the game also feels like it’s playing it too safe by relying heavily on the foundations laid by its predecessors. For a new player, it’s an ideal entry point into the franchise. For veterans, it’s a return to familiar territory, with a few interesting detours, but no real surprises.

Forza Horizon 6 is probably one of the hardest games I’ve ever reviewed, because there’s very little to fault, and not much has changed since the previous game. It’s a supremely polished title with one of the best audio-visual presentations I’ve seen in recent years and will no doubt delight all budding rev-heads. But for anyone who didn’t enjoy the previous instalments of the series, this isn’t the radical departure you’re looking for.
If you’re Asha Sharmon, then you have to feel good about Forza Horizon 6 being your first major release from Xbox.
Forza Horizon 6 is the quintessential arcade racing game. This is thanks to its accessibility, extensive customization options, and above all, its sheer fun. The recreation of Japan stands out for its visual fidelity in some of the environments and the variety of surfaces it offers for different driving disciplines. The inclusion of community creation tools and the integration of online modes—in addition to all the single-player content—extend the game's lifespan, not to mention all the time that can be spent creating tracks and customizing cars.

Forza Horizon 6 finally provides the Japanese festival fans have been wanting for years. It gives the sandbox a much-needed backbone. Reintroducing structured wristband progression and mixing in handling routines from Forza Motorsport fixes the aimless energy of previous entries. If you’re tired of participation trophy racers and want a massive playground that actually requires you to earn your keys, this is an essential day-one buy.
Forza Horizon 6 does exactly what fans expect it to do. It delivers a massive open world packed with beautiful scenery, an absurd number of cars, and some of the best arcade racing gameplay available today.
Gorgeously crafted and with an impeccable balance between arcade thrills and meticulous simulation, Forza Horizon 6 is the best racing game on the market.
