Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park Reviews
Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s Switch 2 Edition adds essential improvements to an already excellent platformer, with great boss battles, difficult endgame challenges, and clever cooperative minigames, even if I wish it’d gone just a bit farther with some ideas to reach its full potential.
Mario Wonder’s Switch 2 Edition adds an awful lot to what was already a fantastic game. New boss fights and training courses for those playing alone, and a whole wing of multiplayer options for those who want to play with others. It is, without question, a better game on Switch 2 than it was on the original Switch.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder's biggest missteps involved difficulty and multiplayer, and Meetup in Bellabel Park adds new content to effectively address both of those. Super Mario Bros. Wonder was a joy to play through in 2023, and now, a few years later, it's even better.
Altogether, Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup at Bellabel Park gets my qualified recommendation. If you're primarily interested in single-player Mario platforming, and especially if you've already played through the Mario Wonder campaign, this upgrade gets you a fun but short series of creative Koopaling boss fight stages, a bunch of challenge stages, an additional power-up, and new build options thanks to the Dual Badges.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is a mixed bag. On the one hand, we have an opportunity to replay Mario's best 2D adventure in years with some minuscule single-player adjustments and extra boss fights; it remains a joy from start to finish. uch sitting out this particular Switch 2 Edition.
It's honestly tough scoring Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup in Bellabel Park. The base game, Mario Wonder, is still excellent, but it's a three-year-old title at this point. You can also pick up the Nintendo Switch version for cheaper and not feel like you're missing out on any content. Despite my issues with Bellabel Park, it doesn't make Mario Wonder a bad game. If anything, it just makes the newest version one worth picking up only if you're looking to play with your kids or younger siblings. They'll undoubtedly love what's in store for them. If you're like me, though, and were hoping for something along the lines of Donkey Kong Bananza, Odyssey, and the original Wonder content, you'll be disappointed.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is a great upgrade to the original game if you're going to take advantage of the multiplayer modes, but it is far less essential if you're mostly a solo player. There are some nice additions for the main campaign, but the £17 price point feels excessive without party play. Taken as a complete package, however, this makes the already fantastic game even more wonderful and addresses most of the issues that we had with it.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder makes the leap to Nintendo Switch 2 along with its new expansion, "Belabel Park Encounter," which adds brand-new content to the base game, consisting of challenges in various formats. Essentially, this DLC is built around offering a new multiplayer experience within the series, becoming a kind of Mario Party designed for platforming fans; although it also includes challenges and trials for all tastes.

An inessential but enjoyable expansion for the best 2D Mario game of the modern era, with some fun multiplayer distractions and a soupçon of new single-player content.
Even if you're not keen on the multiplayer aspect of Bellabel Park, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is still worth playing if you've never experienced it. With the addition of Rosalina, a few extra challenges, and the expansive multiplayer mode, you'll have even more to work through in what is ostensibly a massive 2D Mario experience.
Between its improved technical performance and the additions to Bellabel Park, the Switch 2 edition feels like the most complete version of a video game masterpiece that, even at launch, seemed unlikely to improve. Yes, only Nintendo can surpass Nintendo.

Still as fresh and inventive as ever, Super Mario Bros. Wonder makes a triumphant return on Nintendo Switch 2. The brilliant formula from 2023 is preserved, enhanced with visual improvements and new bonus content. Players happily discover Bellabel Park, its minigames, and its few secrets. While this new area can only be experienced in multiplayer, the single-player adventure remains impeccable and now boasts additional characters to lend a hand in the Flower Kingdom. This new version is primarily aimed at those who have never played the original or at fans who crave multiplayer experiences.

While it's disappointing that Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park doesn't have a 120fps mode, the final result is still impressive. Although 60fps worked well on the previous generation of Nintendo consoles, having this experience in native 4K will surprise anyone with a suitable television or monitor, and the 1080p resolution on a handheld console also looks fantastic.

Overall, the Switch 2 edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a lovely update that provides plenty to do. While some fans will lament the lack of much content for solo players, remember this is basically DLC. I, too, want a new Mario outing; for now, this is a pretty fun addition to a wonderful game.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder was a joy to play in 2023, and the Meetup in Bellabel Park expansion for Nintendo Switch 2 has only sweetened it. Even if you’re only playing solo, the amazing new boss fights and extra challenges do a lot to inject additional variety and additional difficulty into the experience and make it worth a return to the Flower Kingdom.
Meetup In Bellabel Park doesn't reinvent Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but it goes to great lengths to remind you of why it was so special in the first place. The Koopaling battles add some welcome boss variety to the adventure, the Training Camp offers a much sharper challenge and Attraction Central is strong enough to earn a permanent spot in your party game rotation. While it remixes more than it transforms, Meetup In Bellabel Park is an easy recommendation whether you play it solo or with mates.
With a suite of new content, Super Mario Bros. Wonder feels truly complete on the Nintendo Switch 2-though the upgrade may not be for everyone.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is a collection of new features, both big and small, that make this brilliant game even more complete. Together, they form a comprehensive package that feels, in a way, like a director’s cut of the game, bringing to life additional ideas that the developers didn’t have the chance to include in the original release.

Super Mario Bros Wonder was a return to greatness on the OG Switch and with its performance tweaks and incorporation of new multiplayer excitement thanks to Meetup in Bellabel Park, this is a must have game if you missed it the first time around. Whether you're playing solo or with friends (it is the perfect party game), you'll be fully immersed from the first level to the last that also showcases the Nintendo Switch 2.
