The Wolf Among Us Remastered Reviews
The Wolf Among Us Remastered revamps Telltale’s beloved episodic adventure, adding neon highlights to its already vivid world full of complex characters.
With a wonderful art style that has stood the test of time, a story that still resonates, and great bonus features, this remaster does it right.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is now the best way to play the classic Telltale game, though with a couple of small hiccups.
Not only does it improve the visuals, but it also irons out performance issues from the original release.
Whether this is your first time, your second time, or your twentieth time experiencing The Wolf Among Us, you'll gladly trade hours of your videogame time to this remaster. Bigby is back in this bold and bawdy replenishment, and you definitely won't regret devouring this renewed adventure series.
In this remastered version, The Wolf Among Us retains its status as a bona fide classic, even if it does not add much to the original version.
Bigby and the cast of Fabletown deliver an intriguing story in a very unique game world that will keep you engaged through to the end. Plus, the enhanced visuals and bonus content in The Wolf Among Us Remastered are definitely welcome additions. 🐺
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is ultimately a more polished, visually superior version of the game you already know and love.
The technical improvements to this 7th console generation title are fairly negligible, but The Wolf Among Us didn’t need a revolution to still be worth playing in 2026. The game’s noir comic book vibes, the excellent plot and characters, the great voice acting and the branching storyline make this one not just an absolute Telltale classic, but easily one of the most memorable graphic adventures around. While there’s not much in terms of quality-of-life improvements of note, the various deleted scenes and behind the scenes videos are a great bonus, and so is the well-crafted Noir Mode. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a fairly basic revisiting of this memorable adventure. Not an unmissable upgrade if you already own the game, but well worth playing through if you never did or you want to refresh your memory – and have an up-to-date save file for the upcoming The Wolf Among Us 2.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is easily the best way to experience the game in 2026. While each episode still has some of that Telltale jank, the game still looks good by today's standards thanks to its retained art style, and much of the lag and frame rate issues that plagued it 13 years ago have been largely fixed. That said, the Telltale engine, though refreshed, still feels very much like the old Telltale engine, and first-time players might not be all that impressed with the gameplay.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a great return to one of Telltale's best titles. It might not include any new story content, but it feels complete. I'm eager to return to Fabletown with The Wolf Among Us 2, but in the meantime, the remaster is a brilliant entry point for a new generation.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered represents an excellent opportunity to experience Fabletown before the sequel arrives. If you enjoy crime stories, morally ambiguous characters, and choice-based adventures, there are good reasons to put this game on your radar.
