So to sum it all up, if you’re looking for a zany and fun multiplayer experience on the Switch (or your platform of choice), then Worms W.M.D. is a solid choice. Just don’t expect any revolutionary new features if you’re an old veteran of wormy warfare.
Worms W.M.D's successful outing marks the series' long overdue return to relevance. The detailed 2D graphics look great, run very smoothly and the new mechanics all slot in seamlessly alongside the 90s core of the game. This is now the definitive edition of Worms to buy – there is a lot to enjoy it's one of the best in-person social multiplayer games available.
It's Worms, and Team 17 has done a good job in restraining itself this time around so that the only gimmicks within the game genuinely add to it. What's important to note here is that the Nintendo Switch is absolutely perfect for Worms, and that fact alone makes this the best entry in the series in years.
A competent, fun and welcome arrival to Nintendo's newest system, Worms W.M.D. brings to its players a large array of content and game modes and the classic gameplay of the Worms series, as well as a visual outlook that stands out. The Worms series is in good hands and Worms W.M.D. is the living proof.

Worms WMD is resetting the series and delivers in all the important areas while adding some minor improvements. If you like Worms and specifically want a portable version of it, this a fun investment of your time. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it's probably the best version of the game currently available.
The developers at Team17 in spite of the many years, continue to maintain the reputation of the project, Worms with the W. M. D all slightly different, they gave me back my 2000, only in the new world, with new visuals and gameplay elements, the only difference is that now I play Worms anywhere and with anyone, not spat the basement that is 17 years ago.

Worms WMD pays homage to its roots and the addition of crafting, buildings and vehicles add a few interesting twists to this classic. Worms is all about multiplayer and the lack of online play with friends is a real shame though getting pals together for a local match is as fun as its ever been and the best worms in a very long time.
Sure, the camera could have been more modernized, but its shortcomings are worth dealing with. The hours flew by in not only the single-player levels, but also the constant stream of multiplayer matches. If you are searching for a strategic timesink, this game can get you quite far.
A good porting of a fun and traditional game, great for who loves the Nintendo Switch philosophy.
