Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX Reviews
What we have here remains a fine collection of games and an interesting demonstration of the first decade of the Kingdom Hearts series. If you have a reliable enough internet connection, this is almost as good a way to play Kingdom Hearts as any other. If you don't, absolutely leave it on the digital shelf. We'd like to score Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD ReMix on the assumption that you can run it, but that's not necessarily an accurate representation of what many people's experience is going to be, and our experience - with robust and rapid internet - was patchy. If you have any other way at all of playing these games, we recommend you do so. Ultimately, this is a great package delivered in the worst possible way.
As the classic Kingdom Hearts games finally jump to PC, the Windows ports of the remastered collection are mostly solid, despite some issues.
In the end, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix is very good. From a value perspective, having four large RPGs ensures that it'll take newcomers a very long time before they exhaust everything. The gameplay and presentation remain as solid as ever, even though some may not appreciate the constant combat shifts between titles, and the story is more palatable now that you aren't waiting several years between releases. For those willing to jump into Square Enix's action RPG series, this is an excellent starting point.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is the best way to introduce the series to newcomers. The collection offers a nice selection of action RPGs with many hours of guaranteed fun, if the player reveals its problems. Some options help to ensure a good PC experience, but they do not fix the problems of the games and the package in general.

The Kingdom Hearts PC ports are surprisingly excellent. With a substantial amount of options in 3 especially, this will no doubt please players who want to experience some of the saga at upwards of 900 frames per second. While there are a few blemishes, like blurry movies and no mouse support, each of these games is well worth owning for fans of the series. Just wait for a big sale.
Overall, it's great to finally play the older Kingdom Hearts games if you are an exclusive Xbox gamer. Both of these collections offer hours of great and fun gameplay. Not to mention this is the best experience to play these games thanks to the 4K and 60fps upgrades. If you've only played Kingdom Hearts III, do yourself a favor and go back and play the rest of the series!
Whether you're completely new to Kingdom Hearts or a long-time fan, enjoying these magical adventures on a modern console will surely put a smile on your face. This collection is simply jam-packed with greatness via plenty of gameplay variety and memorable stories.
If you’re an Xbox gamer who has yet to experience the Kingdom Hearts story, this collection is the best way to jump in. If you’re a fan of the recent third entry that was a little confused by jumping into the deep end – trust me, no one can blame you for being confused – then you have to get this compilation.
There are no other games that manage to combine very different universes with as much charm, fun and steadfast game play as the Kingdom hearts series do.
This version is most definitely the definitive way of playing this series and a great addition to the collection
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix is one of the best remaster packages around. Even to this day the series firmly stands the test of time and it’s great having so much of it in one place.
The love that the developers have for Disney’s franchises shines through in the animation and the voice acting. Watching Goofy’s ears waggle as he walks, or the way Donald pretty much overreacts to situations is something that just never gets old. It’s been awhile since I booted up my PS3 collection of the game, but I’m inclined to say this collection looks even better. Even the CG cutscenes seem to have been re-rendered.
A solid collection. The games haven’t aged well but Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth by Sleep are excellent games.
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is the definitive collection of 4 classic JRPGs. The story might be the weapon to surpass Metal Gear in terms of convoluted storylines, but its cast of endearing and human characters more than makes up for this.
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (despite its clunky title) is an excellent collection of action RPG games. With sleek graphics, interesting characters and a storyline that spans the ages, it’s a great role-playing game for both fans of the series and newcomers alike.
Stands alongside the best games available on PS4.
As a whole, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is an essential purchase for series fans and newcomers, and represents great value. There may be odd technical issues here and there, and in some parts the gameplay may feel a little dated, but the overall package is as compelling as its first release all those years ago.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix offers a lot of content including memorable stories and characters and a great chance for those who missed it until now to finally catch up. On the other hand it offers little to those who already played it on the PS3, and KHII.8 is still a required, separate purchase to get the complete story.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is exactly what you would expect after the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, especially in terms of remastering techniques. Each of the compilation's titles are cleaner and more fluid... And that's it. In its entirety, this compilation is a must-have if you want to relive the good days of yesteryear without dusting out your old console, or something great to play if you never played the franchise in preparation for the upcoming third game.
Probably the best way to get into the series, and the best way to bring yourself back up to speed before Kingdom hearts 3 is released.
