Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an impressive sequel that arrives at a time when excitement for Marvel content has never been higher. Highly recommended for families and fans of both Marvel and Legos!

A very fun game with lots and lots of things to do, sadly let down by some bugs and poor audio quality. 70s songs and a 90s story don't quite save this.

Qualms aside, Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is still an entertaining romp through the Marvel universe that combines comic book storytelling with the wit and humor that the Lego series is known for. It may not revolutionize the series' worn out gameplay, but the fan service and multiplayer more than make up for that. If you're a fan of Marvel or Lego, this one comes highly recommended.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is pure fun inside the Marvel universe, bringing dozens of obscure characters into an entertaining storyline that blends scenarios and situations from more than 75 years of Marvel.

This feels like a true sequel to 2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and that is both a positive and a negative. Just like its predecessor, it is stuffed to bursting with fan-service and it delivers the signature fun LEGO gameplay elements that have always been core to these titles. However, it feels like a game out of time, something that should have come out in 2014. It fails to integrate the many innovations and changes to gameplay that subsequent Tt LEGO releases have created. If this had included the same type of open world as LEGO Marvel Avengers and the combat of the recent LEGO Ninjago the Movie, it could have been the best LEGO iteration to date. Instead, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2's just on par with what has come before. Not that that is a particularly bad thing, it is just that it could be so much more.

Whether you're a kid or an adult, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a fun romp through time and space in typical brick-smashing LEGO fashion.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an ultimately an enjoyable experience that doesn't steer away from the formula established by its predecessors.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 while doesn't deviate from the successful LEGO formula but adds enough new content and fun for multiple ages. Boss fights and the complex game design might not set the world on fire, but the diverse characters make it worth the admission price. Hopefully, we get more wholesome game like these from the geniuses at TT Games

It's perfectly clear that over time, the LEGO series has took a downward trend and with each new installments, the gameplay gets more repetitive than ever. LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is yet another mediocre game that proves this series needs a new game changer like Lego Batman 2.

Bursting with fan service and a superb script that is packed with silly puns and quick wit, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a (cosmic) blast to play through. Bolder in ambition and bettering its predecessor, what more could you want from what is arguably one of the developer’s best brick-built adventures in recent years.

You already know if you want to play this game though. You don’t need my review to tell you that. If you’re remotely interested in this and have played previous LEGO games, you know exactly what to expect. You either like this style of game or you don’t. I thoroughly enjoy the LEGO games and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the pinnacle of them right now.

Overall, LMSH2 is a Marvel fan’s dream. With a huge amount of characters and content from the majority of Marvel’s past and present catalogue there is heaps of fan service in store. Whilst the omission of certain characters and the lacklustre combat disappoints, the puzzling and sheer quantity of quality content makes up for these hiccups.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 was a good addition to the franchise. The customisation and amount of things to do are spectacular and I can see this easily taking over 25 hours to see and do everything it has to offer. However, the switch to health bars with the influx of boss and long-winded battles pulled it down a bit for me. At some points, the game felt like a drag which was really disappointing as it had the basis of being something really good.

With a better story than the original, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 fills an insane amount of Marvel lore thanks to a plethora of heroes, villains and places to visit. Even if the formula remains unchanged and we would like TT Games to take more risks, the game is still fun, on top of several new multiplayer modes.

Despite a handful of malfunctioning NPC's, some flat voice work and the same awkward vehicle controls as always, it's easily the best family game of 2017. If you're looking for a game to keep your little heroes entertained this Christmas, look no further than LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2.

The motto for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 appears to be out with the old and in with the new, seen clearly in the choice of main characters and the inclusion of many new faces alongside just a handful of old favourites. I haven’t had this much fun in a LEGO game since the third Batman iteration, and that’s testament to the new gameplay features, excitingly fresh heroes and intriguing story.
