Ultimately, Danganronpa V3 doesn't add too much new to the series. But that's okay – it doesn't need to reinvent the wheel when the wheel we already have still rolls out eclectic characters and shocking moments so reliably. It's a great rollercoaster of hope and despair with a climax that made me sit back and think about everything that just happened. The road to the end of Danganronpa V3 is long and twisted, but the ride is well worth it.

The Danganronpa formula feels like it's starting to get a little stale, but it still manages to pose interesting moral quandaries with a large dose of black humour and anime style weirdness.

Even with new characters in a new setting, Monokuma's killing game feels familiar and doesn't deliver on the payoffs

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony's murder cases aren't the series' best, but they lead to a stunning ending.

Danganronpa V3 is one-of-a-kind. It got me attached to characters within minutes before ripping out my heart. It twisted and turned in every direction, and there was always something new and even more terrifying on the way, leaving me little time to mourn my fallen friends. This may be a game that's mostly about reading text, but it still managed to make my heart race.

When class trials get heated up and I'm staring at a screen, trying to piece together in my head how or why something could have happened, what could possibly disprove an airtight alibi, what deus ex machina allowed for this series of events to unfold, it feels like the Danganronpa I know and love. Danganronpa V3 still gives me those moments, if only a little less frequently than I would have liked.

Danganronpa V3 might end up being a controversial entry for fans close to the series, but its twists and turns are worth seeing through. With additional minigames and mechanics, the trials are more exciting than they've ever been before; its cast is even more endearing than past games; and best of all, its murders are still a delight to solve. After all, there's no better feeling than personally realizing something before the game even points at it directly.

One week isn't enough to really understand everything about this game. The campaign is complete, but there is much still to do with the post-game content, trophies and what I can only assume are many more mysteries I can solve. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is not a game you should just read about or watch a Let's Play of on YouTube. It's a game that absolutely demands 40 hours or more of your time. You must experience it first-hand if you truly want to understand what Team Danganronpa is trying to tell us.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a risky bet by Kodaka in the Danganronpa saga. It has a superb story and has one of the best set of characters of the whole saga. Outstanding.

I've been excited for and anticipating Danganronpa V3 for a long time, and after playing it,  I can say it was absolutely worth it. Danganronpa V3 is an impressive culmination of nearly 8 years of twists, turns, heart-breaks, and murders, and is an amazing entry in a consistently well-written and addictive franchise.

Danganronpa V3 is more than a simple visual novel. It's a game that superbly outlinesa microcosm artfully prepared by the developers; the third episode of a mature and fascinating series, Able to dealing with strong themes and a great sense of irony. A small pearl that should push you to look prequel and play the whole saga.

It suffers from various issues that make the experience feel more padded, but Danganronpa 3 still has memorable characters and a kickass soundtrack holding it up.

DanganRonpa V3 is a great visual novel, but doesn't renew its formula. The fans of the series will be delighted. Finding the sadistic bear again with its children along is always a pleasure, especially since the game has numerous new developments in its scenario. We would have liked a slightly better general direction for the PS4, and a french translation with less mistakes and above all, no annoying glitches for now. However, we hope that they will be corrected when the game will be released in stores.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a fantastic sequel which will have you thinking about various plot points long after the credits roll. There's a great new cast of characters as well as five new adorable little bundles of mono-craziness to get to know. School life has never been so deviously deadly.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is a worthwhile new chapter in Spike Chunsoft's now-beloved series about the struggle between despair and hope, bringing some legitimate twists and shocking surprising with it. It also, however, serves as a sign that Danganronpa may be running out of steam—and that this should perhaps be the chapter where we say goodbye to that adorable psychopath Monokuma.
