Some lingering series quirks persist, but other smart lessons from the first game have been applied to Total War: Warhammer 2. Another four mechanically diverse factions, each pursuing a singular campaign goal on a richly detailed map, make this a powerful sequel.
Total War : Warhammer II is not a new game but an extension. Very good mecanics and very good AI, but not enough content to call it as a NEW game. Despite that when Warhammer III will be released, the three games will probably be the best Total War never made.

It is a deep and challenging experience with an epic story to tell. It is also one of the most overwrought games of the year, a game where complexity seems to be piled on for complexity's sake.
Total War: Warhammer II is a hybrid turn-based strategy and real-time tactics game that stands among the best of both. Its emphasis on campaign pacing, fantastical battles, and complex battlefield tactics easily positions itself as an all-time great.
Total War: Warhammer 2 manages to iron out almost all the rough edges from its predecessor while throwing in enough quality new content to keep things fresh and challenging. The result is a journey into the Warhammer fantasy universe that's both engaging and infinitely fun to play.
Total War: Warhammer II is a great game for both novices and experts alike. The fantasy races provide a great diversity of units and exciting animations to keep battles lively, and the extensive tutorials and streamlined UI of this installment make it less confusing and faster to play. Multiple ways to win campaigns, cooperative and competitive multiplayer, and a big arsenal of separate quest battles all add tons of replay value as well.
Proving that a sequel can take a very different perspective, showcase a new part of the world, and be all the better for it.
Total War Warhammer II is definitely a game I could see myself playing for a very long time and I, in fact, will be going back through to finish the various campaigns. If you're a strategy gamer, or if you want to jump into the Total War arena and have an extra $60 to spare, do yourself a huge favor and pick this up. You're not going to regret it.
While there aren't many factions and some of the Total War complexity can be vexing, as a whole, this is among the best versions of Warhammer to hit the PC yet.

Total War: Warhammer 2 continues to hoist the bar even higher for both Total War and Warhammer.
Much more than a sequel or overpriced DLC to Warhammer I, Total War Warhammer II is one of the most stable and enjoyable Total War entries ever.
Overall, Total War: Warhammer II is an exciting edition to the Total War series, and the Warhammer characters certainly add a lot of personality. They're the sort of characters who generate more interest in the narrative and make you more interested in pursuing the rest of the story.
Total War: Warhammer 2 shakes up the wonderful strategy of its predecessor with new factions and locales. Although the DLC X-factor could shake up the campaigns even further. Buy it.
Regardless of how its future looks, today we get to enjoy Total War Warhammer 2. With all its polish and rich Games Workshop lore, it's the most well balanced and enjoyable Total War game so far, and that's a strong accolade.
Warhammer 2 might have a lot in common with the first game, but everything it has done to set itself apart is big and fresh and daring, making this a game that's worthy of its own place in the spotlight.
Both Total War and Warhammer fans could enjoy quality time with Total War: Warhammer 2. As a gamer, you owe to yourself to play this one.

Warhammer II is a worthy successor to its older brother, and fans of either series will relish the chance to throw themselves into its immersive world. However, those same shop-worn Total War tropes that were pretty past it last time have surely well and truly earned a peaceful retirement now.
Total War: Warhammer II is a fantastic strategy game that shows a deep understanding and even control of the best elements of the genre, but the game demands that same level of dedication from you to get the most out of it. I can't recommend this game as a place to start, but I can wholeheartedly say to veterans and strategy faithful that you'll have a lot to dive in to.
