Last Day of June is an intimate and moving adventure, yet elegant and sophisticated. Albeit a linear structure and some minor gameplay flaws, it's a game that tells an extremely human story, with some unexpected surprises, and where the gameplay drives the narrative. A shining example of how videogames can be an authentic expression of emotions.

Last Day of June is a great emotional adventure from Ovosonico, with some flaws in the puzzles sections. Not a masterpiece, but a game worth playing for sure.

The Last Days of June tells an emotional story of loss and acceptance, though it can't claim to have an entirely original story. An art style that's half cute storybook Claymation and half soulless, eyeless faces may be pretty divisive, but the game's time looping puzzles tie well into the feelings of repetition and despair.

Although Last Day of June's story has impactful moments of grief, loss, and companionship, it's limited by a frustratingly repetitive gameplay loop.

Last Day of June is a beautiful rumination on the ways death and fate are indelibly intertwined. It's also a competent puzzler with a winning sense of style. Repetitiveness and a slightly predictable structure stymie the proceedings somewhat, but never enough to ruin what is an otherwise lovely experience.

A little piece of art full of potential that slips over its conclusion.

Last Day of June is a narrative puzzle game that makes full use of a wide range of powerful emotive devices to make its point. Its fairly straightforward puzzles won't keep you up, scratching your noggin at night, but the effect of its wonderful characters and the love they have for one another will leave you feeling like you belong to something bigger than yourself.

Last Day of June is one of the most beautiful stories of the year. Guarini creates a complex, yet achievable for everyone, loves story.

Last Day of June is a personal and emotional journey that brings you to the most beautiful corners of love and the darkest and most painful corners of loss at the same time. It's a compelling journey, with relatable characters within a beautiful world, brought to life with a sensational score. But ultimately, it's uninspired, core ground-hog day gameplay loop hinders and undermines everything that has been built around it.

With a beautiful art style, Last Day of June tells a heartbreaking story about Carl as he tries to reverse the events of the day that took his love, June, away from him. Although the puzzles are on the easier side, the story told without any dialogue and the powerful soundtrack make this a great game for anyone who loves a good story and wants games that can make them feel something.

Last Day of June is a beautiful presentation of a heart-wrenching tale that is hindered by less-than-stellar game mechanics.

Given the three and a half hours it took me to play the game, it feels like a movie or a play. Unfortunately, its emotional impact is undercut by the things that cause June’s death being replayed, but it is no doubt is wracking with guilt as you get it wrong. This is an experience, and its adaptation from short films to an interactive medium carries a bit more weight as you are in control of actions or inactions of the characters. Last Day of June is a sweet, cute, and touching game that nails home the feeling of loss, but the hope of love.

Last Day of June is a beautiful looking narrative driven game that suffers a bit from repetition, but if you can get past that it has an emotionally charged tale to experience.

Last Day of June is a unique and beautiful tale of joy, tragedy, and the will to save the one you love. The gameplay may be too simple for some, but I recommend Last Day of June for anyone who wants to experience an emotional story with beautiful art design.

The true test for any game of this kind is whether it can keep player hungry enough to see it through to the end. Although I wasn't completely enthralled (the repetitive puzzles and a couple of bugs broke my immersion) it still managed to lodge its hooks in me and I'd be lying if I said those final moments didn't make me feel anything. Last Day of June is a emotive, sometimes enchanting story of love and loss that, while it doesn't break new ground, will resonate with plenty of gamers out there.

The Last Day of June is probably one of the most original stories of 2017 that really pulls at your emotional heartstrings. Given the 'loss' of the game, each player will interpret this differently as you explore a life and lives as we follow the journey of Carl, June and those around them. Sure, this review is a little vague but I so don't want to spoil this game for those that want to play it!
