F1 2017 has my favorite single-player career mode in any sports game, ever. I’ve won two separate Grands Prix now, and am looking forward to, in a future season, becoming the first American F1 champion since Mario Andretti in 1978.

F1 2017 is only suitable for those who know and are in love with the world of Formula 1. They would absolutely enjoy every second of the game. However, it’s not recommended for those who are not familiar with this type of racing; they’d better go after other racing titles.

Unpredictable and challenging yet deeply rewarding, the range of modes and options available make for what is Codemasters' finest outing since they picked up the license.

Everything in F1 2017 far surpasses everything that made 2016 such a great racing sim, and though the results aren’t as noticeably superior as last year’s improvements, the subtle changes here have set the bar on what makes a truly deep and exciting Formula One experience.

F1 2017 is marred by the immense shadow that is F1 2016’s greatness. It goes at great length to try and build upon what was started last year, but doesn’t polish it, or make it different, enough for it to stand out. If you are looking for a simulation racer for Formula 1, and you don’t already have F1 2016, then F1 2017 should be bought.

In short, we can say that F1 2017 is a game that satisfies the most palatied, both the happiest and the most casual. In short, a title designed for the majority that is able to offer more arcade sessions to almost realistic sessions. Excellent car feedback and attention to details. In short, a title definitely to have if you like this!

F1 2017 is another leap from last years game. While it won't reinvent the wheel, the addition of classic cars, a more in-depth career mode and tougher AI makes it a significant improvement on 2016.

Ultimately, despite all its attempts at becoming a story driven title, F1 2017, just like its predecessor F1 2016, remains nothing more than a racing sim. Yes, it has an immense amount of mechanical depth, and the core driving mechanic, regardless of the setting, is incredibly enjoyable. But the title as a whole is like a fishing rod without a hook. The rod is there, and so is the string, but the bait is simply tied to it, and the second one grabs onto the bait, they’ll swim away. And that’s because there’s nothing to keep one attached to the hypothetical rod once the bait is gone. And unfortunately, the average gamer, despite the early impressions, will most likely abandon F1 2017 within a week, and only the old guard of the franchise will stand by it until the next year’s iteration.

Codemasters has tweaked and refined a Formula one driving experience that is, as of writing, unrivalled. Project Cars 2 lurks just round the corner, but it would require an awful lot to overtake this.

Codemasters have returned F1 video games back to the glory days. In years from now we’ll say, “Does this game play as well as F1 2017 did?”. It’s a benchmark that only they can set higher and if you’re an F1 fan you’d be a fool to ignore this game.

As with any new Formula One game, we expect changes and upgrades to the previous iteration. With F1 2017 Codemasters has taken a massive step forward towards realism and with the talk of a VR version, we can expect amazing things from future F1 games. F1 2017 has improved considerably and brought the long-missed Classics into the present. Codemasters is now in a good place with the series. Things have changed in the real Motorsport, but there some subtleties you wouldn’t normally notice, like the wider stance that Formula 1 cars now have. The game is full of changes and improvements, like the handling due to that wider stance, and F1 2017 sits as a game that’s balanced all-around. While F1 2017 is the official videogame of the 2017 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, it is also the only one, and more importantly – it is the best one.

F1 2017 is a near flawless F1 game, and easily the best yet. Codemasters have managed to fit in enough options that the game is playable for people of all skill levels, all the while keeping it a true F1 simulator for those hardcore fans that want an unforgiving experience; and it’s all bundled in a beautifully presented package with tonnes of replayability.

For all the F1 fans, this game is a must play. Historical vehicles, better career mode and fun physics model are the main pros of this game. Despite the weak AI and various minor faults, the game will provide enough enjoyment for tens of hours.
