The hungry Wurm is back with Nidhogg 2 and I am more than glad! With better visuals and add-ons like new stages and weapons, Nidhogg 2 brings honor to its predecessor. The game offers brilliant fast-paced combat with hilarious and gruesome moments and this is exactly what I was expecting from it. Nidhogg 2 is a must if you want to spend some quality time full of laughter with your friends! Feed the big bad worm!
The amount of action that can transpire within a couple of seconds in Nidhogg 2 makes for two-player combat that's both intense and hilarious to play or watch with friends. Nidhogg 2's visual style might not be for everyone, but its sharp, minimalist duelling is still smart and chaotic enough to allow for endless couch competition.
Though a ton of fun with friends locally, the new single-player and online modes may not offer much to those hoping to play long-term
Nidhogg 2 is a worthy update to the minimalist dueling action game. Messhof offers a follow-up with a wildly different art style, more weapons, more levels, and more options for playing with your friends. The game overall feels a bit less precise, but this is still Nidhogg at its core.
Nidhogg 2 is a surprisingly short game, but that doesn't mean it's not a lot of fun. While the Arcade Mode is rather short at eleven stages, the local and online multiplayer options will keep fans coming back. If you were a fan of the original game you'll likely enjoy this game as it's pretty much more of the same but with some new and enjoyable additions.
Essentially an update of its predecessor with a new art style and some carefully considered additional nuances, Nidhogg 2 nonetheless remains an obvious choice for friendship-destroying, local competitive party play on PS4.
Nidhogg 2 doesn't change the core gameplay of its precursor in any Earth shattering ways, but it does introduce enough tweaks and refinements to make it well worth a second trip to the cosmic worm's hideous belly. While the single player component isn't especially interesting and the visuals might not be to everyone's taste, as a couch multiplayer experience its immediacy and depth is utterly infectious.
Mechanics was nicely updated by the developers, but unfortunately, they failed straighten out the network code. But even so, Nidhogg 2 is a very dynamic and exciting game with deep mechanics and incredibly emotional gameplay, which will be a real revelation for multiplayer action games' fans.

Nidhogg 2 maintains the bar of excellence it set for itself on other platforms, forming a dream team with the Switch.
It's hard to deny that Nidhogg 2 is more casually oriented than Nidhogg 1 was, and that's going to turn a lot of Nidhogg 1's hardcore fanbase off. But if you can get beyond the random gameplay and the weird character design, there is a lot of fun to be had here, especially for its low price tag.
While the new art style is divisive, it brings with it improved combat and animations, making Nidhogg 2 great for multiplayer madness if you can gather together some friends in-person or online. However, as a single-player experience the Arcade mode quickly loses its appeal. Still, if you're looking for your next pick-up-and-play party game, Nidhogg 2 can be a hoot.
A pretty good sequel for one of the most fun indie games out there. 1v1 fantastic action.

If you have a few friends looking for a fun game to play, Nidhogg 2 is the perfect choice. If you're looking to jump online, I would advise against it.
Nidhogg 2 is the madhouse on top of Nidhogg's foundation. Formidable swords and a low-fi aesthetic are swapped for a gleeful array of sharp objects and a ridiculous style that embraces the 90's grossest toys. Nidhogg's singular focus isn't lost or diluted, it's amplified with a jubilant response to skill and spontaneity.
Nidhogg 2 may not be as beautifully simple as its predecessor and the art-style and new weapons are an acquired taste. However, the combat, crazy pace of matches and sheer aesthetic makes for great fights, either alone or with friends.
Everything is changed, but Nidhogg 2 is still fun and addictive

Don't expect Nidhogg 2 to change the core gameplay because its unique gameplay is what attracted many players to fight each other countless times.The new art style and weapons added a refreshing layer that made it deeper, smarter and more chaotic.

A charming fighting game that offers a great experience in co-op. It might be short in length but you will be able to enjoy a good amount of replay value in a party or with friends.
Nidhogg 2 is a decent sequel to the first title. Playing with friends will provide you an experience so exciting that'd wipe out the disappointment caused by the short length of the single player. Though changes done in the gameplay are not as much as expected and the combat is still as simple as before, but the all-new graphics and visual effects, also the excessive violence, has made Nidhogg 2 a unique and interesting game.

Nidhogg 2 is a worthy follow-up to the original. The new additions give the game some depth while still keeping intact the spirit of the game. For those who appreciate the prior title's simplicity, it's still there if you're willing to tweak some options. In the end, the game is a perfect multiplayer title in short bursts, and it's a game that's worth keeping in your library for such an occasion.
