Aegis Defenders is a unique mix of action platforming and tower defense, the game can provide a lot of fun but it takes time before reaching its true potential, and the levels are too short.

I had a lot of fun with Aegis Defenders. I really liked the action platforming elements of the game, but what surprised me the most were tower defense sections. Setting up my defenses and planning for an attack is very fun, creating a unique and cohesive experience I wasn't expecting. Play this game on PS4 right now since it has a lot of fun to offer.
Aegis Defenders tries to provide a great experience with its pixel art visuals and tower defense mechanisms, and although some parts of gameplay are not polished enough, solid tower defense experience alone will worth your time.

An enjoyable experience featuring light RPG mechanics, platforming and tower defense all in a single game. Aegis Defenders is a must have for fans of the genre.
Aegis Defenders is a good experience that fully prevents itself from being great. There's a ton to love in its mixing of platforming and tower defense, but ultimately you're required to love it with a friend. Otherwise, you're better off looking elsewhere.
Aegis Defenders really packs a punch with interesting gameplay mechanics and a solid mix of genres, with tons of collectibles and crafting as well as challenging mini-bosses and bosses to defeat.
There are some genuinely tense moments to be had here with its numerous smart ideas and a rather decent execution. Cooperating with your partner during the hectic tower defense segments make for an experience unlike any other. Aegis Defenders is available on PlayStation 4, Switch and both Windows and Mac OS X on Steam.
Aegis Defenders is an indie that has a chance to be a standout of 2018. Most of the key ingredients to a winning formula are here; engaging and addictive gameplay on both the solo and multiplayer fronts, a nice presentation, and just the right amount of innovation.
Minus its co-op niggles, Aegis Defenders pulls off its ambitious gameplay mechanics with ease. All of its elements, while seemingly disparate, end up working quite well together giving Aegis Defenders a sense of cohesion, making it a quirky, engaging game worth checking out.
A fantastic game that looks and sounds great, and more importantly, it's really fun! Highly recommended.
