Dark Souls Remastered Reviews
A rock-solid framerate makes this the definitive choice for playing Dark Souls on console today
Dark Souls Remastered is a close replication of the source material, allowing new players to see what the big deal was and veterans to test their mettle once more. There's already been a generation of undead warriors who completed their journey and rang the Bells of Awakening. Now it's time for another.
Dark Souls Remastered is a good reminder how far we've come in the last seven years.
While nothing has actually changed in terms of content, the visual and performance upgrades are much more noticeable than expected. This makes Dark Souls Remastered the definitive edition of FromSoftware's modern classic.
Dark Souls Remaster sets new standards for remasters with many new futures, enhanced lighting, and many more. a very welcome comeback indeed!

An excellent game that may not be beautiful, but it's as fun as hard to beat as it was 7 years ago. If you didn't played on 2011 you have to this time, specially if you love the soulslike games.

Dark Souls Remastered manages to capture the essence of the Dark Souls experience, primarily because this is exactly the same game that debuted way back in 2011, just this time everything is in gorgeous 4K, and everything runs at 60fps – even Blighttown.
Something more could be done regarding graphics and additions/improvements to the game formula, but Dark Souls Remastered remains a successful re-release of an extraordinary game.

For those who are already fans of the series, Dark Souls Remastered is just a polished version of an already great game, but for me, it was a bit more special. With the technical issues eliminated, Dark Souls can shine and is a much more satisfying experience.
Beneath the surface there have been many improvements, but it's important to note that these are improvements to what was already a great game.
A mediocre remaster of an all-time classic, but by the mere act of fixing (most of) the frame rate problems this becomes the definitive version of one of the decade's most influential video games.
Dark Souls Remastered speaks for itself just in terms of the raw mysteries it offers beyond its new coat of paint. The feeling of zoning into Firelink Shrine is just as special the 100th time as it is the first, and the open-ended nature of the world is just as fresh. Sometimes needlessly so, From Software has packed so much into Dark Souls that I'm finding new items or experimenting with strategies I've never seen before -- a testament to the longevity of this particular entry, and a more than justified remaster.
Dark Souls Remastered brings us back to Lordran in its most beautiful way. Its graphic improvements, the return of a full online mode with dedicated servers and its HUD changes are the features that make this game worth of being on every player shelf.

Even though the work on this remaster can only be described as "simply correct", we're talking about the definitive version of the best and most influential game of the past ten years. If you've never player Dark Souls before, this is by far the best time to discover what all the fuss is about.

It's the Dark Souls of Dark Souls games, and the issues that plagued the console versions that released in 2011 have been remedied... what else needs to be said here.
Dark Souls Remastered is a great trip back to Lordran. While the original game may be showing its age, and various mechanics have been improved in later entries, this may be a trip down memory lane worth the asking price of $39.99 USD for fans of the innovative original. New players to the franchise could do much worse to start here, since the smoothness of the action ensures that each death is due to their own lack of skill and nothing else. This is certainly the best way to experience Dark Souls on console.
Dark Souls was a brilliant game in 2011, and it is still a brilliant game in 2018.
The action roleplaying game makes a masterful return to Lordran
Dark Souls Remastered is exactly what the name implies and fans will adore it.
