There were some good ideas with The Station, but I've played a number of very similar and better put together experiences.

Aside from answering questions, the atmosphere and overall presentation of the game certainly makes a decent fist of engaging players, but that short play time hamstrings The Station before it can ever really get going.

From start to finish, The Station had its hooks in me something fierce. Though a bit shorter than I would have liked, I was fully immersed for every single second of it. It managed to deliver a great story that kept me second guessing up until the very end. This was supported with a great presentation, solid visual design, fantastic audio work, and a handful of fun puzzles to solve.

The Station tackles with some of life's biggest questions with finesse, and will have you pondering it all long after the credits roll.

A promising premise and some well-executed puzzles aren't enough to save The Station from the dull nature of its story and characters.

Disappointed would be the wrong — and likely more forgiving — term to describe one's feelings coming out of The Station. Disheartened is a more fitting definition; worse than its length or the severe lack of effort put into its environments that expand beyond the puzzle-solving (easily the game's best and only salvation of a plus-point) is the otherwise safe and stale retreading of a formula that has been repeated many times in sci-fi themed games and executed much better in ways more thematically interesting.

The Station had everything to be a great game. Interesting story, good presentation and a game style adored by many. The big problem is that it builds too much hype, but falls short at some points. If you are looking for a quick and easy game, this one is for you. If this is not the case, the Espial space station should not be visited.

The Station lacks the storytelling it needed in order to justify playing it. The lack of gameplay could have been overlooked if the story was up to snuff, but it just simply isn't. What results is a short, boring experience that will only satisfy the most desperate of sci-fi fans.

There's a fantastic graphical style and story here, but the overly short play time and lack of game mechanics may make it easy to skip.

The Station is a short game but one which has a lot of things to be desired. The game looks, sounds and plays great as you wander around uncovering the truth behind what's going on and what happened to the crew. The story is well fleshed out and whole, it's just there for you to find on your own and uncover as you go along – not everything is given to you on a plate and there isn't a load of fluff packed in there for no reason. Highly recommended to everyone who loves a good story, exploration and some decent puzzles.

The Station is short, simple, and sweet. It’s atmosphere-heavy and narrative-light; exploration-rich and challenge-impoverished. However, the attention to setting detail and aesthetic are top-notch, which (for those who come in expecting little more than an immersive walkabout) does much to alleviate the brevity and superficiality of the intended path.

It doesn't show or say anything that other science fiction tales haven't shown or told already, but if you're relatively new to the genre or don't mind rehashing previous themes, The Station is worth its short stay.

The Station is a decent outing that falls short in some key areas. I wanted more back story, more intrigue, and more interesting puzzles. Still, I had fun with the short romp and the ending, while predictable, is still fun. I would love to see this team craft a bigger sequel with a proper budget.

The Station does enough to be recommended to anyone who wants a very short burst of puzzle-solving with some genuinely gripping mystery and atmosphere, but it crumbles in the execution of the narrative itself.

Even stranger than its premise and scarier than it looks, The Station is a short ride to a great ending.

The Station proposes to investigate the disappearance of three members in a space station. To do this we must focus on exploring and carefully observing the whole environment and solve ingenious puzzles.

The Station is disappointing. It is not successful in storytelling, creating an engaging atmosphere, and even introducing the characters. Maybe the puzzles are only enjoyable parts but unfortunately you cannot find many of them in the game. The Station is not one of that games that many gamers will remember at the end of the year.

The Station for Xbox One is a narrative driven sci-fi game that introduces some interesting story themes, but feels way too short and will leave most players wanting more.
