Sweet hero's journey in a believable fairy tale world, which convinces with its successful staging and the "in the thick of it" perspective.

If you need a reason to buy a PSVR headset, then use Moss as that reason. It may not be perfect, but it's easily one of the best and most memorable VR experiences to date.

This is one VR bedtime story that you'll never want to put down.

Moss is a gorgeous virtual reality experience that combines the eloquence of a theatrical play, the cuteness of smaller-sized subjects and making their scale feel grander, and the enjoyment of playing video games. I have never experienced something quite like Moss, and although it is partially due to the VR headset, it's more than equally due to how the developers used the technology to create a genuinely enjoyable experience. Moss is probably my favorite VR game yet, and I'd expect that sentiment to be echoed by many others.

With the advent of VR games, I assumed that the best experiences would, logically, be those with a first-person perspective, and as such wasn't all that interested in Moss when it was first announced. After all, how could a third-person platformer be any good when you can play games where you literally inhabit the main character?

Moss is one of the most interesting experiences ever done on VR and has a main character that we deeply love: Quill. It may not be perfect due to the restrains of PS VR, but despite that, it's an excellent portrait of VR narrative and gameplay.

There's little to dislike about Quill and Moss outside of how short it is, especially now that the technical complaints are cleared up. This is a beautiful entry into a VR series that'll hopefully have more than just one sequel, and Quill is a wonderful character who deserves more players to get to know her.

Moss reminded me that fear is an understandable feeling in the face of the unknown, but that bravery takes us beyond what we expected when we considered ourselves so small and powerless in the face of everything, even more so when we can count on fellow travelers who are there for support and teach us valuable lessons in overcoming our trials.

Moss is a mature PSVR title that strives to bring you into a miniaturized world and largely succeeds.

There are multiple layers to this beautiful VR title that truly makes the game a joy to play through. The idea of bonding with the protagonist as another character, while helping her solve puzzles in a fantasy world is endearing and plucked at my heartstrings.

Short but irresistibly sweet, Moss may just be one of the best reasons for you to pick up a VR headset.

If you own a PSVR it’s a no-brainer, Moss is an absolute must play title. It may very well be the highest quality, most polished game available on the platform. It makes smart use of the PSVR system and it’s characters, combat and cleverly designed puzzles will leave you craving more when the credits begin to roll.

This game’s intelligent mechanics kept me intrigued, sustained my interest to finish the game as quickly as possible. Although the experience was more of experimentation and a series of trial and errors for me (a couple of mouse-drowning deaths as well), the game still leaves me asking for more: more of the story, and more games like this in VR. My adventure with Quill in Moss was more than satisfying. It was excellent, magical, and truly a gem.

Simply put. if you have PSVR then you need to have this game, if you don’t have a PSVR, then this maybe is the kick you need to buy one. Amazing.

Moss and Moss: Book II are exemplary virtual reality titles. The visual design, levels and characters are awesome, and this implementation increases the immersion through new control methods and greater player interactions. With PS VR2, the increased detail and fluidity is also excellent news for those who struggle with VR comfort. Without any doubt, this series is highly recommended to all who have a PS VR2 device.

Moss is yet another great example of how Virtual Reality can enhance traditional game genres, whether they are first person or third person games. Creating such a dynamic and creative exploration of the environment, as well as establishing a strong connection with Quill in such an immersive and engaging way are qualities that only Virtual Reality could provide. A sequel, bigger and as good as this first volume of Moss, is more than obligatory.

The PlayStation VR deserves to be thought of as a whole separate platform, and thus far that platform has been lacking in the killer games to sell it. This is the first must-have release to arrive; something truly special. Moss is an absolutely phenomenal experience; completely captivating, utterly endearing, and absolutely magical. Ghibli fans will find this closer to the works of the legendary studio than the Ni No Kuni games. Best of all, it finishes on a promise of more adventures to come and, like a bibliophile desperate for that next book, players will be left desperately wanting the next chapter in this story.

Moss is one of those games that will not only re-introduce your VR headset to your entertainment center, but makes the argument that it should be there permanently. With fantastic world building and an endearing protagonist, Moss hits way above its weight — creating one of the few captivating, must-play stories on VR.

Moss bridges the gap between observation and participation. It creates a bond between the player and Quill, making you a part of her story. There's a sense of pride and accomplishment for everything Quill does, not because you are her, but because you are her friend. Polyarc has built an amazing adventure with a grand sense of scale, bonding players with the smallest hero as they send her out beyond the safe walls of her tiny mouse village. Even if it ends too soon, Moss is one of the most memorable and immersive VR adventures I've ever been on, but more importantly, it's the best friendship I've ever had with a VR mouse.
