While its graphical downgrade is hard to miss, that doesn't detract from the fact that this is the best single-player FPS experience you can have on Switch right now. The lack of a multiplayer mode (the versions on other consoles didn't have one either, so don't worry about being short-changed) still grates, but with its brilliantly-written story and intense action, not even 2017's DOOM port can stand up to B.J.'s latest war on the Reich.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is a fantastic Switch port courtesy of Bethesda and Panic Button which takes last year's awesome FPS and ensures it continues that legacy even when you're playing it on the move. Another great addition to the ever-growing Nintendo library.

The technical shortcomings do have me hesitant to recommend this over the other versions if you have the means to play them, but if the Switch is the only console you have, you'll still get your money's worth, without a doubt.

With Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Panic Button is reconfirmed as a very talented developer to bring triple A titles on Switch.

This port is, simply put, just ok. The graphic quality has been downgraded significantly in order to make the core of the experience, which is the gunplay, still smooth and enjoyable even in handheld mode. Definitely, Switch is not the best place to play Wolfenstein II but, at least, the gameplay is good enough to make killing nazis on the way a total joy.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is still the same great game on Nintendo Switch, but only if you play it in docked mode.

Some of the most fearless and idiosyncratic storytelling ever seen in a video game, married to one of the most viciously entertaining shooters of the generation.

That Wolfenstein II The New Colossus was even released for a Nintendo console is amazing enough. However, the fact that the port of Wolfenstein II The New Colossus on Switch is good is even better.

Panic Button studios did it again! First with DOOM's port and now with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on the Switch, they have managed to deliver and increidible experience for a memorable FPS into the portable console. A must to play on the Nintendo's platform.

Shed some blood, save the world. It's a long hard road but the journey is incredible and fun, while the big advantage here is being able to take the slaughter on the go. It isn't the best version visibly, but for Switch owners who haven't experienced the glorious bullet-bath, it's a pure thrill.

Even without the DLC packs, it's great that we get to play Wolfenstein II on the Switch - and just like with DOOM this is a wonderful addition to the Switch family.

The game looks solid, the intensity of the original release is still intact, and the gameplay doesn't drop off much when playing it portable. It's a must-have for Nintendo Switch owners dying for a first-person shooter.

Wolfenstein 2 is also on the switch a spectacle, but graphic fetishists should play the PS4 or Xbox One version because of the technical losses.

Although this game is worthy of a good score, I cannot recommend this version to anyone who owns a PC or other console, as having it playable on the go is not worth the premium it costs to do so. However, if the Switch is the only console you own and you have been waiting for the port to arrive, then go ahead and grab it. It's one helluva great game and, quite honestly, a miracle of coding.

Panic Button brings all the nazi-punching action from the 2017 FPS to the Nintendo Switch with great results. When playing in portable mode the experience can be compromised, but in TV never ceases to amaze how great everything has been translated, from the frantic shootings to the charisma of the cast.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus for Nintendo Switch is a respectable port of one of the best games released last year, and greatest shooters of this generation. Its brilliantly written cast of characters and excellent gunplay come through well enough even viewed through muddy textures and minor frame rate drops. It's not the prettiest or smoothest way to experience Wolfenstein 2, but it gets the job done.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is possibly the best shooter campaign available on the Nintendo Switch, with some impressive graphics. The image can be occasionally blurry, and the game definitely runs better elsewhere, but this is a great example of technical wizardry on the behalf of Panic Button, not to mention a brilliant shooter for all Nintendo Switch owners to enjoy.

If you're looking for a well-made first person shooter with plenty of action and soul, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus ticks all the right boxes on the Nintendo Switch as developers Panic Button have successfully ported this game onto a far less powerful console that works like a treat, even with the slight graphical hit!
