Strange Brigade has some good ideas but they were not executed in the right way. The level design and the performance of the narrator, plus the combination of co-op/competitive made it a fun experience, especially when played with friends.

While Strange Brigade doesn't necessarily do anything new it does provide a fun third-person shooter experience especially with friends. Its got a great setting, funny dialogue, solid shooting mechanics, and fun ways to kill enemies. I could see Strange Brigade becoming a more well known IP if Rebellion works out some of the issues with this first entry.

Strange Brigade is a flawed but ultimately fun experience.

Creators of Sniper Elite are back with a new cooperative game in which you are a part of a strange brigade. It's just a shame that the brigade is not the only thing in the game that is strange.

Strange Brigade, being Rebellion's latest try for a new genre, is an acceptable game. The game has various positive traits and as a Co-Op Shooter does what's best for it; that said, it has also some issues like it's lack of end-game content which makes it less of an almost flawless game.

I wasn't expecting a huge amount from Strange Brigade, but what I got was a really enjoyable experience both offline and online. This was a pleasant surprise, as generally I'm not someone who would usually play online if I can avoid it. The fact that even I preferred playing online speaks volumes about Rebellion's efforts in making a game that's best played in co-op. There are a few things that could have been done better, but nothing that can't be overlooked. This is one of my favourite multiplayer games in a very long time.

Strange Brigade easily shows us, Co-op play is still the best and most entertaining type of playing games. It is a Beautiful Third-Person Shooter and also, one of the most joyful cooperative online games that i have played in this generation. The most important point about Strange Brigade is that Playing it solo, is so many different from co-op, and if you want to see the real purpose and potential of the game, then play it with your friends. Strange Brigade is a game with the definition of "entertaining".

As long as you have good company, Strange Brigade is an expedition worth undertaking. However, that doesn't excuse the many issues the title has. The game would have benefited from refinements both to the aiming system, as well as puzzle design. Still, this cadaver-blasting, treasure looting adventure is an enjoyable enough reason to gather a few friends together for, as long as you know what you're getting into.

Strange Brigade is chaotic and fun in the right way. It may not be the most original game since it's heavily inspired by other games, books and movies, but it uses the approaches the theme very well, creating exceptional situations for lovers of mysteries, challenges and cooperative shooting.

This is a breath of fresh air in the current online-focused battle royale infested games market. Strange Brigade tries to mix third-person shooting with a dose of puzzle solving and it does that with an emphasis on co-op. The design of the game is rather bland when played alone but as a co-op game, it has a strong foundation that is both chaotic and tons of fun.

Bust out the Earl Grey and crumpets! Rebellion has delivered a quintessentially British flavoured caper in Strange Brigade and it's hard not to get caught up in the whole darned shooting match when the added incentive of fighting for King and country is tossed into the mix. It's a rather spiffing package, all told, that manages to find the perfect blend of rip-roaring adventure, explosive gunplay, treacherous traps, fiendish puzzling, and crate-loads of loot. Whether tackling it solo or with a group of chums, it's a title very much geared towards repeated playthroughs, which should be enough to give fellow relic hunters, Nathan Drake and Lara Croft, a run for their money. Indiana who?

All in all, Strange Brigade is a solid and enjoyable co-op shooter with a lot of heart. It doesn't necessarily redefine the genre, but the combat mechanics are fun, the traps are delightful, the variety of characters is interesting, and in general, it's just a whole lot of fun to play. Get together three friends, burn through a horde of zombies, and you'll have a fantastic time. The only caveat is that the game should be played co-op. It's a tougher game to justify when you're playing solo.

Strange Brigade has managed to scratch the itch that I had for a fanciful, fun, yet challenging and intense action-adventure experience. I especially enjoyed the game's large levels with multiple branching paths and hidden areas. The addition of puzzles offered a nice break from the lengthy combat sequences.

A solid but underwhelming co-operative shooter. Strange Brigade nails the 1930's campy aesthetic but is unfortunately let down by safe gameplay choices failing to push the title forward. If you loved Zombie Army Trilogy, you'll find a lot to like here. Whilst there's certainly fun to be had, at a full priced release of £39.99 the game could and should have been so much more.

There is a lot of stylish hijinks flowing throughout Strange Brigade, which is really what makes the title work. It certainly plays better with friends, but it can be tackled solo as well. Decent weapon variety coupled with varied environments from one level to the next help to offset what is generally repetitive shooting gameplay broken up by puzzles that do help change the pace without ever really taxing my brain. Basically it is good at multiple things while seldom great at any of them. The end result is a rollicking adventure that occasionally frustrates but entertains more often than not.

"Strange Brigade" proves to be a fun arcade ballroom, which can convince in many, if not all points. Both the wild balling and the targeted use of traps make for a lot of fun when it comes to clearing the destructive mummy and skeleton hordes out of the way. Atmospheric settings, intricate labyrinths as well as varied puzzles skillfully round off the combat passages. Graphics and sound can be shown, but are sometimes a bit dusty. Even though the title also appeals to single players, it quickly becomes clear that the whole variety can only be enjoyed in co-op mode. All in all, especially die-hard co-op enthusiasts will find "Strange Brigade" to be the right permanent entertainment.
