Mortal Kombat 11 isn't the ideal MK package and may not even be the best MK package to come along in this console generation. Still, it's a strong package and one that still proves fun to play alone or with friends. It's not a flawless victory, but it's still a victory, nonetheless.

Mortal Kombat 11 is both joyful and frustrating. It's far and away a superior game to Mortal Kombat X where it truly matters - the roster is strong and varied, the visuals are phenomenal, and the flow of battle is as sharp as ever. If you play with friends, solid online offerings will deliver in droves. If you're thinking of playing solo, although Story mode is some of Netherrealm's best, the grind to unlock everything beyond that is sobering. It's this grind that means Mortal Kombat 11 stands besides Mortal Kombat X, and not above it.

Mortal Kombat 11 has some design issues, but overall I enjoyed my time and I can sincerely say I'm looking forward to the inevitable sequel.

Mortal Kombat 11 doesn't change many things. The series of Ed Boon and NetherRealm is still alive. This new game is deep and it is full of content. The Fatal Blow is a good idea, and visually he continues to be brutal and spectacular, although it is running in Unreal Engine 3. The new characters and modes are great.

The gory fighting game isn't back with just a number of new fatalities, its new strategy based fighting system and the abundance of game modes makes it a must buy for the genre veterans.

With this installment of the saga, we will enjoy visceral, fluid combats, a story in campaign mode that has no waste and everyone should play, but, above all, we will enjoy an unlimited fun with its game modes .

Mortal Kombat 11 is a fantastic game with rich yet accessible combat and a great story. It's also mired in grind and randomness in the post-game and causes concerns about real money transactions.

Mortal Kombat 11 is everything that we expected from NetherRealm Studios. The combats are as intense and bloody as ever, and the story is more than what you'd expect from a fighting title. The only downsides here would be the extreme need for grinding in order to unlock new items and some bad character actings, which prevent MK11 from becoming the ultimate fighting experience.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a great fighter tarnished by Warner Bros.’ willingness to test the limits of customer satisfaction using nickle-and-dime tactics. It’s truly an embarrassment for the franchise and one I hope is truly corrected soon.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a great fighter, perhaps the best the series has been to date. It’s a visual spectacle filled with lots of ways to play for players of all skill levels, and features the most enjoyable fighting game story I’ve ever gone through. It also has some boring new characters, crippled further by the extensive customization suite, and a growing disconnect between the regular fighting and the fatalities. Small issues, but issues all the same. Still, you’ll probably be having too much fun to care.

Mortal Kombat 11's fighting, story, graphics and mechanics should have the game piercing the stratosphere, but the persistent online direction the progression systems have taken feels like something belonging to a free-to-play game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the biggest fighter in the franchise yet. The story is rich, the cast is great and the focus on eSports is great. The game is not perfect, with the biggest flaw in the in-game currency. When it comes to fighting, perfection is neared.

Overall, Mortal Kombat 11 is a stellar fighting game and is one of the best ones ever made in my opinion. The depth and variety it offers are unparalleled, even by the likes of Injustice 2, another NetherRealm creation. There are so many characters to customize and master — with many more on the horizon — which should keep you enthralled for months to come.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a first-class fighting game experience, featuring rock-solid core mechanics, impressive production values, and a story that wouldn't be out of place alongside the summer's biggest blockbusters. Of course, the game also suffers from some of the drawbacks of big-budget game development, including grindy customization and tacked-on microtransactions, but that stuff is largely superfluous. Beneath the triple-A fat, Mortal Kombat's bloody heart still beats as strong as ever. The links above are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Wccftech.com may earn from qualifying purchases.

Stephen Hawking, real killjoy that he was, ruined the possibility of time travel in the span of a single sentence in A Brief History of Time. Mortal Kombat 11 is a tale of two games- the one where everything just feels fantastic, the fighting, the story, the visuals. They combine to create one of the best fighting games ever crafted. Then there is the other side where grinding for all the cool stuff the game has is a real chore. I
