At the very least, the future of Kingdom Hearts is looking even more exciting than before and maybe that’s enough. For me, it certainly is.

Re:Mind's new story expansion has a little too much retreading, but the fantastic new boss fights are the highlight of both the DLC, and of Kingdom Hearts III as a whole

Re: Mind only serves to remind me of all the untapped potential of this series; of all the room it has to evolve; of how its audience has matured but it has failed to do so alongside it.

Re:Mind is a DLC pack tailored for the hardcore players, giving them opportunities to really test themselves. However, more casual players may be better off skipping this and just reading a plot synopsis online.

A little more story, a lot more brutal boss battling equals a potentially disappointing DLC.

Kingdom Hearts 3: Re:Mind rewards its most loyal players with an unrelenting new endgame, new modes, and a more filled-in story.

Except for the open-ended ending, Kingdom Hearts III + Re:Mind succeeds in being a very good game and a proper conclusion to the long-running series. Longtime fans will see all of the lore finally pay off and many loose ends get tied up, since they are the only ones who can fully understand what's going on. The combat has been tightened up to the point that it feels almost perfect for action fans while not alienating longtime players. The Re:Mind content lets things down a tad, but it is otherwise a must-play title for franchise fans.

Does that make it worth $30? That's tough. In terms of gameplay, the new boss fights are a huge chunk of the challenging content, and they're a ton of fun to play. If you enjoyed Kingdom Hearts III's combat enough to want to see it at its best, then Re Mind is for you. The Organization XIII fights alone are worth the price of admission in this case. If not, then $30 is difficult to justify for what amounts to a couple of add-ons to cut scenes that you've seen before and boss fights that you might not be able to beat.

The Kingdom Hearts III DLC, Re:Mind does not deliver everything that the fans expected, being something sort of a "director's cut" of the original game with little new content, without answering the questions that everyone wanted. For what we received, the value of the DLC is very expensive and should be at least half the price, not making up for those who are not fans of the franchise. Still, Re:Mind is fun and adds incredible new fights that increase the desire to play post-game.

The New Game+ add-on’s and fresh picture-taking options are fine, but they don’t do a whole lot to outweigh Re:Mind’s weaker portions. This DLC expansion is fine in parts and wholly disappointing in others.

A great addition if you're really into the game's battle system and crave challenge, but otherwise a weak offering especially considering the asking price.

Kingdom Hearts 3’s Re:Mind DLC features everything I look for when looking to purchase an expansion pack. More story mode content, further fleshing out a story or world I already loved, more challenges to jump into and test my skills with now that I had already reached the endgame of the base game as well as various quality of life improvements that improve upon the game I already enjoyed so much.

While the DLC takes some time to find its footing, there are some interesting tidbits to be found. Unfortunately, the adventure comes to a close just as things get exciting. Fans can rejoice though thanks to the added boss fights that offer up a whole new challenge.

ReMind recycles a lot of materials from Kingdom Hearts 3. This DLC expands Kingdom Hearts Story and adds important pieces to the big chain of events. ReMind also adds Data Bosses to the game which increase difficulty significantly.

ReMind cleared up some doubts, retelling and touching up the details of the outcome of the conflict between light and darkness that has been around for 18 years. Although I found it kind of lazy on the part of Square Enix to make me beat some fights of the final battle again, after seeing as a whole what the content of this adventure had to show, I was satisfied.

Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind offers challenging boss-fights and fun moments of fan-service, but suffers from its brief length and lack of new levels.

Kingdom Hearts III Re: Mind, while featuring some fun stuff and some of the better fights the series has to offer, is a minor addition to the base game set at a premium price. I would only recommend it to people who love Kingdom Hearts enough to experience and overcome everything a Kingdom Hearts game has to offer.

Re:Mind really reminds you of the end of the third episode and adds new moments that will make every fan mad. Unfortunately, some fights are repeated and not all questions are answered yet. DLC takes 6 points out of 10, and we can't wait to see what direction the series will take in the future, as there is plenty to explain.

Re:Mind has a lot of great boss battles and some wonderful moments of fanservice, but its lack of overall importance to the story of Kingdom Hearts III makes it hard to recommend to anyone other than major fans of Kingdom Hearts. If you’re in it for the gameplay, you’ll be pleased, but anyone hoping for some real plot progression may be let down.

When it comes down to it, Re Mind is here to explain the ending further, and even tease more of what’s to come. It was clearly added to give the player more challenge, and it definitely succeeds in that. Unfortunately, at the price point of $29.99, it doesn’t feel like it’s worth it.
