Level-5's latest multimedia outing makes a belated western outing in an RPG that's eccentric, exuberant and more than a little clumsy.

Snack World starts off as a charming RPG, but tedium quickly sets in.

As a dungeon crawler, Snack World doesn't stand out between all the other similar (and better) games. But the sense of humor, powered by a magnificent spanish translation and dub, manages to achieve great levels of charm an personality. If you're looking for something simple and fun to be in a good mood... This is it.

Snack World: Dungeon Explorers is a game made with undoubted craft, full of humor and ready to pinch the strings of the collector hidden in each of us. The simple but not trivial action and the large number of secondary missions are, however, tormented by a rhythm that tends to weary in the long run and a lively, but technically only discreet, technical component. Remaining in the culinary sphere, Snake World won't be a chef's bite to eat, but if you're hungry you can tastefully fulfill it.

Underneath the childish, cartoony exterior, Snack World: Dungeon Crawl Gold is a funny, simple but engaging RPG that above all, will make you smile.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold is a nice portable Action / RPG with a good humor that is fun to play in co-op and small sessions on the road. Fans of collectibles will enjoy collecting hundreds of unique types of equipment and creatures-partners and fight with powerful bosses, but others may get bored because of the template research of dungeons and the lack of an interesting story.

Snack World combines a tongue-in-cheek story with dungeon crawling, a loot system, and roguelike mechanics to make one surprisingly fun package.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold is a good entry to the RPG genre, but it may be to simple for some experienced players.

Unless you are a die-hard dungeon crawler, I don’t see this game holding your interest.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl Gold falls short in most areas with it's dull, monotonous gameplay. Repetitive missions and gameplay lead to this one wearing out it's welcome after a few short hours, despite having lots of content.

With this brand new franchise, Level-5 intends to enter the market of rogue-like titles. Alas, despite its cool and colorful universe, we can be quite disappointed by the general game design, massively borrowed from gacha games and its repetitiveness.

Snack World serves up a beautifully presented helping of dungeon crawling, garnished with generous amounts of humour and charm. Its character is also its saving grace, because it helps keep your interest when the actual mechanics start to feel repetitive. Or, to milk the food analogy further: its outer shell is so endearing that you'll still enjoy consuming it even when you can tell it's starting to get a little stale.

Its mediocre ideas result in nothing more than a functionality that spoils solid art. Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold could have been a unique take on the genre but unfortunately cashes out too early to make any kind of lasting impression.

If you ignore the presentation, there’s something in here for dungeon crawl fanatics, but you’re better off going with something like Darksiders Genesis for a far more enjoyable experience.

Stuffed with juicy content but might be too much of a mouthful for some.

There's a lot that I wanted to like about Snack World. Lite-dungeon crawling, a deep loot system, colourful visuals, quirky 'meta' humour – all the right ingredients are here for a staple dish in my personal video game cuisine. While it all looked great on the menu, though, what has eventually been plated and served is more like fast food than fine dining. It's still enjoyable, but it hasn't been made with the same love and care and can make you feel a bit uneasy.

We quickly fell in love with Snack World, but as much as quickly we grew bored of samey dungeons and a very simple combat system. Still, expecially if played in short bursts, this is a fun and hilarious dungeon crawler.
