There are tons of dungeon crawlers out there, but Snack World is a complete and utter blast that makes it hard to stop playing whether solo or online.

Snack World combines a tongue-in-cheek story with dungeon crawling, a loot system, and roguelike mechanics to make one surprisingly fun package.

Snack World: Dungeon Explorers is a game made with undoubted craft, full of humor and ready to pinch the strings of the collector hidden in each of us. The simple but not trivial action and the large number of secondary missions are, however, tormented by a rhythm that tends to weary in the long run and a lively, but technically only discreet, technical component. Remaining in the culinary sphere, Snake World won't be a chef's bite to eat, but if you're hungry you can tastefully fulfill it.

Snack World serves up a beautifully presented helping of dungeon crawling, garnished with generous amounts of humour and charm. Its character is also its saving grace, because it helps keep your interest when the actual mechanics start to feel repetitive. Or, to milk the food analogy further: its outer shell is so endearing that you'll still enjoy consuming it even when you can tell it's starting to get a little stale.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl — Gold proves to be a fun and entertaining adventure with plenty of care put into the writing and gameplay. I would strongly recommend this title to any RPG fans as it provides something a little different to the usual range of “too serious” RPG stories and has no issue with poking fun at the tropes often seen in other franchises.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold is a game that anyone can easily pick up and enjoy this fun adventures in random dungeons. Although it is only possible to play on secondary demands, the game is still fun. If you are a fan of games produced by LEVEL 5 then this game deserves a place in your collection!

We quickly fell in love with Snack World, but as much as quickly we grew bored of samey dungeons and a very simple combat system. Still, expecially if played in short bursts, this is a fun and hilarious dungeon crawler.

As a fun, dungeon crawling, loot collecting action-RPG, Snack World is pretty good. It’s not as deep or engaging as Diablo and it definitely doesn’t look as good as Darksiders Genesis, but it has its own charms.

As a dungeon crawler, Snack World doesn't stand out between all the other similar (and better) games. But the sense of humor, powered by a magnificent spanish translation and dub, manages to achieve great levels of charm an personality. If you're looking for something simple and fun to be in a good mood... This is it.

Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl - Gold is a nice portable Action / RPG with a good humor that is fun to play in co-op and small sessions on the road. Fans of collectibles will enjoy collecting hundreds of unique types of equipment and creatures-partners and fight with powerful bosses, but others may get bored because of the template research of dungeons and the lack of an interesting story.

There's a lot that I wanted to like about Snack World. Lite-dungeon crawling, a deep loot system, colourful visuals, quirky 'meta' humour – all the right ingredients are here for a staple dish in my personal video game cuisine. While it all looked great on the menu, though, what has eventually been plated and served is more like fast food than fine dining. It's still enjoyable, but it hasn't been made with the same love and care and can make you feel a bit uneasy.

It’s brash, it’s messy at times, and it’s not exactly a good-looking game, but I can’t help but like Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold. Its silliness is endearing, its larger-than-life characters will make you chortle despite yourself, and even if you’re not an immature child, come on – it’s hard not to laugh at a negative status effect that makes your character constantly fart.

Some of these problems fade away in multiplayer, which makes it such a missed opportunity to make that aspect a bigger focus. Snack World isn't a bad game, but it's somewhat misguided in how it wants to present itself. If you can deal with the frustration, you will find that the dungeons themselves can be fairly entertaining.
