SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated Reviews
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is not the best remake you can get these days. The animations, character models and gameplay mechanisms seem odd and outdated. That being said, if you are a dedicated fan of the original animation, you'll still enjoy the story and the great voice acting.

Spongebob Squarepants is a fun and colorful experience with simple yet diverse gameplay that keeps its momentum until the end, and it would have been a great title if not for its dated visuals.

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom was never an exceptional platformer - we can even accuse it of being generic - and that remains in its version Rehydrated. What also does not change in this remake is that it is a project that makes good use of its source material. It also looks better with much needed graphical upgrades. A good remake for a decent game.

SpongeBob and his fellow friends are in for an 8th gen remake of a good old early 2000s title. The game is filled with tons of fun. Gameplay-wise and story-wise, you're in for something great. BFBB remake is a great looking title too but the game suffers from lots of loading screens, bugs and game breaking glitches. With technical issues being black sheep of the game's dawn side, Which are so disappointing for an 8th gen remake, the boring multiplayer comes into play! With all being said and done, BFBB Rehydrated is so fun to play. Having a little kid or little brother/sister, let them enjoy this game. If you're a big fan of SpongeBob's adventures, give this game a go. You're gonna enjoy the hell out if it!

It's been a long time since I’ve played a great licensed game, but Spongebob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is a joy to play.
SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a fun collect-a-thon platformer. It has tons of collectibles, and it successfully manages to update an old fan favorite in a franchise that has been idle for a while. It's not a perfect comeback by any means, but it's solid with tight controls and fun stages that will entertain fans of SpongeBob and anyone looking for a good platformer. Given its fair release price and the content on offer, it's definitely worth a look, although it could've turned out more polished than it did.
Even with its many imperfections, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated ultimately succeeds as an attempt to spruce up a 17-year old game. It doesn't stand alongside the 3D platforming greats, but it's a fantastic, humour-filled tribute to a beloved show. People less familiar with the yellow sea sponge's exploits will find it harder to overlook the creaky, PlayStation 2-era quirks. It looks better, but that doesn't mean it plays better than it did 17 years ago.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated still kept what was adored about its whimsical atmosphere that the 2003 original offered while giving fans and new players something fresh.
Whether you played SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom back in the day or not, there's no denying that this Rehydrated version is something special. Overall, it's a classic 3D platformer that feels fresh and fun in today's gaming scene.
Remasters are always a tricky affair, and topping that potential problem with a licensed game is likely all the more risky...
Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a fun 3D platformer that is a faithful recreation of its original game. It’s visually eye catching and full of the quirky, clever writing fans or Spongebob come to expect but due to the design of platformers coming so far since 2003, the game does feel dated at times and should have implemented some quality of life improvements.
SpongeBob's renewed adventure is the return of an iconic platformer we all once embraced. The game looks good and refers to a lot of hilarious situations from the cartoons. You simply can't help to smile a lot during the game, but the controls are not nearly as good. They are barely touched and feel outdated which makes the game less good than an average patty.

A game that does not play on nostalgia, but on tight gameplay and atmosphere that is so well delivered.
SpongeBob Rehydrated is an energetic redo of a much cherished PS2 platformer. It’s somewhat harsh around the edges, however, it’s a strong exertion that brings back a sort of game that is very uncommon on present-day machines.
Normally, licensed video games have a hard time being good, however, Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom hit it out of the park and the game gained a following for being so good. So when Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated was announced, you can understand the excitement that fans of that title must have felt. For me, someone who loves the original, my expectations and hype were sky-rocketed, and I couldn’t wait to play this title. Now that I have played it, did the game hit those expectations? The simple answer is… No. No, it didn’t. Keep reading to find out why.
This remake of good old yet still flawed Spongebob game is a big disappointment. Not only it doesn't improve on any of the issues from the original game but it also adds new ones such as bugs and boring multiplayer. The title suffers from an obsolete game design that developers failed to address. On the other hand, the graphics are nice and the characters are just as enjoyable as they were in the original.

One of the hidden gems of the 6th generation finally got a remake allowing new players to experience what is it like to be a sponge living in a pineapple under the sea. It is a game well-needed in these trying time, distracting the players’ attention from the current problems with its wholesome atmosphere, lovably absurd humour, and beautiful visuals. It’s just F.U.N.

As far as remasters go, this one is an incredible jump over the original game in terms of visuals, however, it comes with its baggage on the virtue of being an old game that suffers from outdated design.
SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is an example of how a faithful remaster should be done
SpongeBob has had a facelift in this remaster, and the laughs are assured with Patrick and the others, as we explore Bikini Bottom.
