Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Reviews
The Command and Conquer Remastered Collection applies updates that make its content feel fresh, but the same can't be said for all its mechanics.
This is a respectful but surprisingly full-featured dive back into the world of Command and Conquer, and I can only hope EA greenlights this sort of treatment for more of its games.
This remaster is a winner. It’s a stellar package, and hopefully a template for what is to come. The minor shortcomings are all due to the age of this title – but this is an old game. You have to take it for what it is – a glorious little piece of history. In presenting that, this is a practically flawless release – but the old-fashioned, less friendly design in places will mean this one isn’t quite for everyone.
If you're a fan of the core dated gameplay within C&C:TD or Red Alert, the QoL content spread across C&C:RC is for you: the vocal, 25-years-later contingent of Westwood's RTS roots, who arguably favor the military stylings and '90s-rock bombast of the series' first two games over the insane balance and actions-per-minute madness of StarCraft or WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne.
Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a treasure trove of content for fans of all generations.
It’s as close to a perfect restoration as you’ll get, and the treatment these genre-defining games deserve.
By modern standards, the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is far from perfect, but without these games, modern standards wouldn't exist
A very beautiful remaster that stays true to the core of the classical experience and adds more to it.

Command and Conquer Remastered raises the bar for remasters. This is the definitive way to play these RTS classics, and they still hold up decades later.
Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a masterclass in how to re-energise a classic title. There's no denying that the 25-year-old gameplay doesn't quite hold up to its modern contemporaries, but with over 100 missions, progressive options, revamped multiplayer, and full mod support, C&C Remastered is both a solid package and a proud testament to Westwood Studios' genre-defining work. Now, about Red Alert 2...
A wonderful remaster of two masterpieces. This remastered collection of Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert is a love letter to the classics that you need to play whether you are a veteran or a new gamer that wants to try a rejuvenated classic.

The original Command & Conquer might be almost 25 years old by now, but its signature fast-paced strategic gameplay hasn’t aged a day. Remastered does exactly what modern-era collections should, offering old-school action with modern-day fidelity and loads of extras. This is a perfect example of remasters done right: The original gameplay remains intact, the upgraded presentation is flawless, and the added bonuses are tremendous. Put simply, your favorite Command & Conquer games are back and better than ever.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection makes a classic nice and shiny.
EA's reverent approach to this remaster is not only visible on the screen but behind the scenes too. Involving the community and involving creative talents behind the scenes show the care and commitment taken here.
As a remaster, this is as good as they can possibly get. As a game to be played in 2020, it still stands up pretty well, and its raw gameplay is so distant from today's standards that it feels like a breath of fresh air.
