At the end of the day, I think that’s what SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE wants you to feel. We shouldn’t really feel relaxed while playing, but that’s what today’s society is used to. There is violence all around us, both in the virtual world and reality. We’ve become so desensitised to it all that we use virtual images of violence to escape the real ones.

As someone who appreciated SUPERHOT for what it offered originally, I am a much bigger fan of this much more fulfilling, well-rounded experience. The roguelike aesthetic really suits the tone of the game and makes the Mind Control Delete experience absolutely essential for SUPERHOT fans, whether you loved it in VR or not.

SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE takes the bullet time brilliance of its predecessor and adds many new toys to its violent chessboard to even more thrilling effect.

SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete is an exquisite game that ticks all the boxes of what a sequel should be. I loved my time with this game with some playthrough's taking me into the wee small hours of the morning. (If you know me and how much I need sleep, this is quite the accomplishment) What this game does beautifully is condense all the flare and pageantry of a full-on FPS into a few minutes of intense bullet-time action which will leave you smiling from ear to ear.

SUPERHOT Mind Control Delete is a worthy successor to an outstanding game. It improves on the original with better level design, switchable perks and more diversity in the combat. It’s such a great formula for a game and one where you will turn on for 10 minutes and be glued to the screen for hours.

Mind Control Delete goes way beyond for what's expected for an expansion, feeling a lot more like a sequel.

I’m just glad I have more SUPERHOT at my disposal. It still looks, sounds and plays largely the same, and it goes on for what it seems like forever, so it will keep you busy for a while. If you were craving for more SUPERHOT in your life, don’t even think twice, especially since you can get it for free if you still own the original game.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete, for owners of the original, is a freebie that is at least worth checking out. As for those yet to get their Superhot fix, Mind Control Delete is an unessential standalone expansion and a much less attractive proposition than the first game or its VR counterpart.

SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE offers us almost the same as the original SUPERHOT, but in almost infinite rations. The new additions give a lot of gameplay and allow a great variety of situations, although it is also true that the design of the scenarios, being its configuration generated procedurally, is not as bright as in the original game. Every SUPERHOT fan will be congratulated.

Mind Control Delete expands on the Superhot universe in every conceivable way. While there’s a lot of fun within its bigger time-manipulating shooter playground, the lofty ambitions result in a unique concept extended beyond its limits.

SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE is a fun action-FPS that feels limited in its execution; it makes some fantastic additions to the core SUPERHOT experience, but a poorly-executed step away from the original’s intentionally, meticulously crafted level design ultimately hurts the game’s replayability.

The SUPERHOT team delivers on what the original SUPERHOT should have been and it's even better than imagined. A rogue-lite take on the franchise, that feels both familiar and new at the same time. This is the new starting place for the franchise.

SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete brings a change of pace from the original game, with more varied and unpredictably randomized challenges at the cost of the hand-crafted shooter-puzzle component of the first game. Levels are more repetitive, though, and difficulty feels unevenly balanced, resulting in a less satisfying experience.

Fun and addictive, SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE expands the experience of the original SUPERHOT, making it what we might call the ‘definitive version’ of a modern classic.

Superhot is the most innovative shooter I’ve played in years… Or have I just been programmed to say that? I can’t be sure myself. What I can say for sure is, Superhot: Mind Control Delete made me feel like a bullet-dodging, katana-wielding, Tron-esque John Wick and I loved every second of it!

For what it's worth, the standalone expansion is a step in the right direction in many ways for a future title and is truthfully a must-have experience for fans of the original.

The game is like a powerful and elaborate version of its predecessor. The team worked well, adding a lot of ways to play Superhot that makes the game more enjoyable. They also added a roguelike formula which fits with the iconic slow-motion gameplay.

Mind Control Delete breathes new life into the modern classic, adding a whole new dimension to the linear structure of Superhot. From challenging new types of enemies and weapons to new hacks and powerups (and more of the cryptic storytelling), Mind Control Delete adds in enough content to be well worth your time.
