PGA Tour 2K21 is far from perfect. Compared to other sports games, the game is not very nicely finished and the diversity in terms of modes is also somewhat meager. It's a shame that this MyCareer mode hasn't received the same attention as, say, that of NBA 2K. Perhaps that is still a bridge too far, but it could have had a little more gravy. It is also a shame that the world looks a bit clinical. The wind has little effect on the environment itself and the NPCs also look somewhat lifeless. The commentary, on the other hand, is well done and the golf itself is also very well put together. After a few holes, you will no longer notice the above misses and you will appreciate the depth of the game. The controls, customization and the tracks themselves have received a lot of love and attention. Golf enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the game and new players will also be lucky, because the game is very accessible. However, if you have nothing to do with golf, then logically you will not get much pleasure from PGA Tour 2K21.

Overall, it’s nice to have a game that actually features PGA branding and gives players of all skill levels a fun, realistic experience. Add that to the fact that players have access to thousands of custom courses and you have a game that you can play endlessly for years to come. If you’re looking for a new golf game, PGA Tour 2K21 should still satiate that need.

With a huge success on the golf courses, PGA Tour 2K21 manages to deliver an exquisite experience in what matters most and a long-lived career, although in other aspects, especially the visual presentation and the use (or lack of) of its content licensed, laying good foundations on which to build a long-term champion formula.

PGA Tour 2K21 sets a new standard for golf games. It has detailed gameplay that is welcoming for newcomers but incredibly complex for the veteran golfers. The presentation is also incredibly impressive, with strong audio and course-mapping that made me feel like I was an actual pro.

PGA 2K21 gives a damn fine game of golf. It controls solidly and there's a good learning curve as you get to grips with the more advanced types of shot. Despite that, I can't help but be a little disappointed with the feel of the overall experience. What should have been a hole in one return of a licensed golf series feels like it's only just managing to hit par.

PGA Tour 2K21 is a well-made golf game that features a ton of gameplay options for its audience. Being able to choose through a large list of options to fully tailor your type of gameplay is incredible. However, I feel like it can’t decide whether it wants to dip more into arcade territory or just remain as a simulator. I hope they will find a way to cater to both eventually, but this is a big step in the right direction.

PGA Tour 2K21 offers a good simulation experience that, despite some noticeable absence in both roster and tournaments, would definitely delight golf fans.

Good golf simulator, realistic and very adaptable. More content, modes and a technical improvement are necessary.

Just as those young guns on the PGA Tour are all chasing the legacy of Tiger, every golf video game has to come to terms with the fact that they are trying to run down the legend of the Tiger Woods titles of the past. With PGA Tour 2K21, we look to finally have a real contender.

PGA Tour 2K21 is probably one of the best-playing golf sims of all time, and yet I can’t get rid of this nagging feeling that it maybe doesn’t go far enough in establishing itself as a major sports title.
