Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Reviews
Lego Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga doesn’t really break the mold, and is a recognisably Lego videogame. But the new features and mechanics keep things fresh and interesting, so even longtime Lego Star Wars fans have plenty to enjoy.
A Star Wars compilation that's undeniably fun, but wildly inconsistent and with far too much padding from collectibles.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga takes LEGO games to a new level; changing the way we'll see LEGO games moving forward. With 300+ characters to unlock, 1000+ Kyber Bricks to collect, and 20+ planets to explore: there's something for every fan in this Galaxy Far, Far Away.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is easily the best compilation that TT Games has put together. Visually stunning, mechanically evolved, and endlessly entertaining, the game puts its foot on the gas and never lets off. Pacing issues and simplicity aside, the fact that the devs could revisit games they literally already made and make this package feel fresh is an accomplishment all its own. No matter how players might feel about the stories of the three trilogies, it’s hard to argue this is the best video game representation of them that just so happens to be LEGO.
If you're a fan of the Star Wars series you will love the humorous twist LEGO puts on your favorite characters from another Galaxy far far away. All nine movies are in the game and you can play any trilogy in any order. Plus, the game offers plenty of replay value to keep you entertained for hours.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a grand continuation of this process encompassing all three of the mainline trilogies with as much enthusiasm and heartfelt appreciation as could be expected from a studio working on their sixth tie-in of the sci-fi epic.
PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch; Warner BrosJourney through all nine movies in this gag-filled crowd pleaser that even makes The Phantom Menace bearable
There aren’t many games I’ve been bursting to play. Skywalker Saga was a rare case, but that came with an added risk - not living up to the hype. It’s the first Lego Star Wars to bundle the films together since the Complete Saga and that’s a tall order, especially since it’s now nine films. Not just three trilogies, either, but all their worlds, their cities, and their landmarks. The old games had small hubs with Dexter’s Diner and Mos Eisley’s Cantina, but Skywalker Saga goes above and beyond to bring Star Wars’ galaxy to life. It lived up to the hype and shattered my expectations. Somehow, Lego Star Wars returned, and it returned with style.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga sets its sights sky-high and largely does justice to that galaxy far, far away. Its truncated treatment of the movies occasionally disappoints, but charming, content-packed sandbox stages mostly make up for any story mission shortcomings. This blocky take on George Lucas' family drama is worth enjoying with yours.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a meaningful step forward, smartly evolving the gameplay without losing that fun-loving core.
There's a strong case to be made for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga being the best Lego game to date, with a massive variety of gameplay styles, oodles of additional content, and that perfectly pitched playfulness that evens out the highs and lows of the Star Wars main series into a uniformly entertaining experience. The whistle-stop nature of the translation from silver screen to video game means that die-hard fans could find that some of their favourite scenes don't make the cut, but it's generally a rock-solid playable summary of all nine movies, all wrapped up in that typical Lego charm.
Overall Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is simply fun. It isn’t a super complex, deep, and difficult gaming experience. And that is perfectly great. It nails exactly what it is trying to do. Bring some life to a beloved galaxy and fill it with things to do while also being funny and charming. Players get to see, and play as, their favourite characters from across all three trilogies and relive that magic in a stress-free adventure.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga does a lot of things right that make it the best LEGO Star Wars game, and LEGO game to date. But it's level structure and pacing leave something to be desired more often than not, and co-op play has seemingly gotten far less care and attention than it deserved, putting a damper on what is otherwise a hilarious and fun experience.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a fine return form for the Lego game series, the massive changes to gameplay are fully welcomed. The level of depth in the overall design and recreation of Star Wars lore is phenomenal. There’s so much content within this game, that the completionist will be busy for a while, let’s just hope there is additional DLC on top of what is coming, that will explore the upcoming series.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a notable step forward for TT Games, which renews its game formula, with an impressive amount of content and new mechanics to play with. There are some flaws here and there, but it is still an essential videogame for every Star Wars fan and beyond.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is impressive in every sense. From the tight, scripted story gameplay to the sprawling open world, every piece of this game feels lovingly crafted. While the Switch version feels a bit dated, that's not the fault of the developer, which squeezed an impressive performance from Nintendo's handheld. This is a game with enough fresh content to keep players coming back for years to come.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is simply incredible. If you are like me and have grown tired of the series, it is time to jump back in. This is such a fresh take on the series that it feels like an entirely new game. The level of polish visually and care put into this version feels like they truly went back to the drawing board and created the ultimate LEGO game. I hope this is not their last attempt at the series. I would love a full-on DC or Marvel game in this style. Still this is a must for LEGO fans, a must for Star Wars fans, and truly a must for anyone who enjoys great video games.
Packed with content and fun gameplay, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has something to offer most fans of the long-running sci-fi franchise.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga turned out to be an exciting, though not an ideal game for the whole family. It offers a large amount of content, but it is obvious that the developers did not cope with the scale of their creation.
