After a few rough goes at it, Capcom has finally recaptured the magic of RE4 with Resident Evil Village. In some respects, it even feels like a spiritual successor to the commonly revered title.
Resident Evil Village is what you get when you take the first-person horror of Resident Evil 7 and combine it with the more action-focused gameplay of Resident Evil 4. Ultimately, it ends up being a love letter to fans of the series, or even just fans of specific games like RE4 and RE7; a fitting title to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary this year.
Capcom proved once again that the idea of reinventing the gameplay of the Resident Evil series is good when it changed it to the perspective of the first person starting with the seventh part, this was the most suitable choice for immersion in the game and its atmosphere and this is what distinguished the eighth as well. The writing of the story, the atmosphere, the characters and the enemies made this game one of the best games in the series, if not the best, in addition to the cinematic aspect of the game, which I considered one of the best additions to it, as the company focused on showing the game in a beautiful way, in addition to cinematic clips with sufficient dialogues that served the game.

Resident Evil Village takes its horror roots and kicks the action up to another level, all while capturing the campy elements the franchise is known for.
Village is an incredibly enjoyable experience and can easily be finished in a couple of sittings (or one big one) depending on how well you can handle scares and puzzle solving. It’s art direction, environment and puzzle design highlights the best the series has to offer and there’s also plenty of replayability options as you’ll undoubtedly find things on subsequent playthroughs you may have missed or not had the items to solve the first time through. And the mercenaries and upcoming RE:Verse mode give players plenty to do (and come back to) even after clearing the main story Village has on offer.
Resident Evil Village tells a memorable story filled with action-packed scenarios, moments of trepidation, & an overall euphoric experience.

After the seventh listed installment of the saga is responsible for renewing it in excellence, Resident Evil 8 Village arrives to fully refine the formula. As a continuation and as an independent title, Ethan Winters' last voyage is an exceptional work and, at the same time, loaths to be part of all the discussions about the best games of 2021 thanks to a proposal that combines nostalgia and novelty in perfectly equal parts.

Village is an intense Resident Evil experience, with a great cast of heroes and villains. While it does not lack great moments, its story also feels a little jumbled and non-cohesive, and some gameplay elements are not perfectly focused.

Capcom continues the story of Ethan Winters with Resident Evil Village and closes his files in an impressive way. The playful mix of parts 4 and 7 convinces with fast-paced action, a gripping storyline and a few surprises. It doesn't have much to do with the origins of the series, but those who are positive about this reorientation will have a fantastic time in the eerily beautiful village.

Resident Evil Village is an incredible piece of work, capable of keeping us glued to the screen for the entire story. Although there are some flaws that make it closer to an excellent game rather than a masterpiece, we recommend everyone to play it as it's a good product in almost all aspects, which could also make you approach the saga for the first time.

An entertaining, action-heavy adventure that explores more about the history of Resident Evil and gives Ethan Winters more time to shine.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Resident Evil Village is a fitting tribute to the history of the franchise. Although some of the enigmatic characters are not given the screentime they deserve, they are incredibly realized through the environments that evoke the personality of its inhabitant. Perhaps the game could have taken more risks in this outing, however, this dastardly showcase of the macabre is intoxicating.
Village is a best of the series in a positive sense, which appears in a fresh guise and yet feels comfortably familiar.

Resident Evil Village is a modern-day horror classic. While it doesn’t quite reach the heights set by Resident Evil 4 or, the best-in-the-series, Resident Evil 2, Village is a game worthy of the Resident Evil moniker
A grimly beautiful collection of killer horror set-pieces, with some of the most memorably grotesque enemies in Resi history.
Resident Evil Village tastes new while still exuding the aromas of its essence. It manages to explore terror through new settings while compiling different approaches to build a videogame that, while tending towards action, does not forget the puzzle, exploration and tension typical of the saga. All this with a top technical aspect and an interesting plot that manages to be significant in the macro-plot of its fiction.

It jumps between gameplay styles more than I expected and doesn't scratch the same itch as its predecessor, but this is a damn good game that every fan of the series needs to play.
A more action-focused game, which puts exploration, puzzles and survival dynamics in the background (without completely eliminating them).
