Life is Strange: True Colors is an evolutionary entry that will not only support the franchise going forward, but may well be a renewed outlook on its future. [...] an emotional joyride that proves to be Game of the Year worthy.

Life is Strange: True Colors is a rollercoaster that deals with a full range of emotions. The story is solid and well laid out, but the superb cast of supporting characters is what sets the game apart. Follow every instinct and take in all that Haven Springs has to offer, you will not regret it!

Life is Strange: True Colors is what the franchise needed to get back it's original fan base. Maybe a little slow or social for LIS2 fans, this game is made to rejoy the ambience, listen to it's music, admire the landscapes and be a good person with Haven Springs habitants. A feelings fulled history you will like for sure, but be patience.

I deeply loved Life is Strange: True Colors and at a certain point it was fast becoming my personal game of the year. Sadly, with inconsistent storytelling and a really messy final act, it feels that I’ve been emotionally manipulated to like the game until a breaking point. While one could argue that “it’s all about the journey”, a really messy resolution really ruins that journey it built up.

Life is not only strange, but also short, that's why Deck Nine puts Alex Chen in idyllic Haven Springs, where people are as nice as pie. So it's not another "me against the world" type of narrative, but a more collaborative effort. And that's good, which makes "True Colors" the best installment in the series since the first game.

Life is Strange: True Colors doesn’t deviate from the formula in any way, and in fact calls back more to the original game than before. But even though it is walking a familiar path, it does it well.

For some, a game like Life is Strange: True Colors will be just that: a game. For many others, it’ll hit different, tapping into our deepest emotions and perfectly displaying our feelings in a relatable portrayal. It will peer into our very soul and reveal our own true colors, making our choices that much more impactful. With beautiful visuals, wonderful performances and animation, and an out of this world soundtrack, this is one game that will sit with me for a long time. If any of that sounds interesting to you, then you’ll likely enjoy this game. If you happen to be a fan of Life is Strange in general, then you’ll love True Colors.

Life is Strange: True Colors is defined by well-written characters and a great presentation, but the plot suffers from a sluggish pace and a weak ending.

Alex Chen’s journey is a good one and the five chapters provide a concise, slick story that gets the job done without much fuss. Unfortunately this also exemplifies how often certain areas are reused and the relatively simple choices given to players. Thankfully, True Colors dazzles its flaws with a vibrant, enjoyable adventure that’s well worth checking out

Life is Strange: True Colors confirms the excellent skills of Deck Nine, giving us an interesting title with very nice characters, an interesting plot and powers that dig into human emotions. It' s not a masterpiece and it doesn't reach the standards of the first LiS, but it's still a great title for those who love the series and who appreciate narrative adventures.

Life is Strange: True Colors is a proof that Deck Nine don't need beloved characters and callbacks to previous titles to shine and create one of the best games of the series.

Life is Strange: True Colors is a high quality storytelling experience. The game doesn't focus on the action, but rather on telling a story. Very well developed characters as well as a mysterious plot pushes us to keep playing until the end. The game has a few technical flaws, but that won't stop you from enjoying Alex's story.

I was glued to Life is Strange: True Colors right up until the end and the messages that flow throughout the game will stay with me for years to come. Some of the dialogue is extremely powerful and the quality of direction is first class. Everything flows beautifully. I cannot wait to see what the series has in store for us next.

True Colors is familiar yet strange for the fans, who can be a little disappointed by the supernatural aspect of the series, but very much at home with its drama, tone and atmosphere.
