The constant threat of chaos adds tension and fun to an otherwise basic management sim.

While park management and customization aspects are a bit shallow, Jurassic World Evolution 2 has tons of excellent dinosaurs and exciting ways to interact with them.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is chaotic, delightful proof that managing dinosaurs is no walk in the Jurassic park.

A bigger and better sequel which works as both a compelling management sim and a celebration of the Jurassic Park franchise.

This is a game that is worth struggling with to unlock new dinosaurs for the freeing sandbox mode

The message of the movies is that you can’t control nature, but Jurassic World Evolution 2 hits back by saying, “We’ll let you try anyway.” And I succeeded numerous times over nearly 20 hours with this park builder. Jurassic World Evolution 2 let me correct the sins of the past by corralling loose dinosaurs and building one of the most famous movie settings in history. And it let me do it my way while also making me feel like I’d succeeded where others failed.

To wrap things up, again, I think Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a much better game than its predecessor was at launch. That said, I can’t shake the feeling that much like the original, it’s only going to get better and more content-rich in the next coming year or so. It’s a beautiful trend from Frontier Developments that I think will make an already great game all the more excellent.

‎Jurassic World Evolution 2 is bigger and better in every way, even if it looks more like a definitive edition than a sequel. Their campaign doesn't take advantage of the premise of containing wild dinosaurs, and you'll spend most of your time in Nublar and Sorna. But perfect the gameplay with a huge amount of content and that's more than enough.‎

‎Jurassic World Evolution 2 is not a bad game, not at all, in fact, it will delight those who come from the first installment and those who discover it for the first time. The gameplay is a delight and the title is fun although perhaps too continuist and not very innovative.‎

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is bigger, better, and bolder, and smooths off some of the original's rough edges. Frontier has tinkered with the management sim aspects, and brought in a canonical campaign into the mix that follows directly on from the events in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, but the dinosaurs remain the star of the show. If you're a fan of the franchise – and really, who doesn't love uncontrollable carnivores? – then Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a perfect sequel.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is endless fun for a fan of the blockbuster franchise. A large library of species to unlock and study, bioengineering, and the ability to revisit iconic moments from the movies makes it an easy recommendation for anyone looking for their fix of Jurassic content. Even as a park manager, the game is quite satisfying, aside from some light frustrations here or there.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a visually gorgeous game marred by a very bad case of micromanagement excess. Dinosaurs are great, there is a lot of content and the overall idea is very good, but there is just to much busywork being forced upon the player to enjoy the experience fully.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 makes significant changes to the DNA of its predecessor, but ends up right back where it started: a magnificent feat of adaptation stretched over the bones of an inconsistent management game.

I rarely ever have any criticism for the JWE2 franchise, and this is no exception. While the Feathered Species Pack is small, it brings with it four wonderful new species, two of which will steal your heart away with their tiny yet fierce personalities. The other two larger species are crowd pleasers that are so unique and beautiful you just have to make room in your park for them. All four of the new species will be permanent residents in my parks going forward. The free Update 6 brings quality of life updates, as well as two new REALLY cool Remote Viewing Galleries you can place within your enclosures. I especially liked the Log Viewing Gallery! If you enjoy this game as much as I do, picking up the Feathered Species DLC is a must!

If you already love the Jurassic World Evolution 2 game, you can't go wrong picking up the DLC packs. They let me play with some of my personal favorites, and with loving the Camp Cretaceous TV show as much as I do, it was very exciting to see them walking in my very own park. The lagoon creatures are always impressive to watch, and I still have to add in an aviary to check out the new Dsungaripterus species. I've loved both installments of the Jurassic World Evolution franchise, and the Camp Cretaceous and Early Cretaceous DLC are just icing on the cake. This game can be dangerous for me to play because I get so involved that I lose track of time.

The only downside of having a game packed with tons of features and gameplay mechanics is that it is easy to get overwhelmed. Not to mention, Jurassic World Evolution 2's in-depth user interface and menu system can also get confusing, especially for beginners. However, all these minor issues wash away with practice, and the customization options allow players to tone down the difficulty to their liking. In the end, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is an excellent sequel to the first game. Not only did Frontier manage to implement fan feedback, but it also introduced new features that make managing a dinosaur park a rewarding experience.

Whether you're a seasoned Jurassic World Evolution player or brand new to the franchise, I can guarantee you that you will have a blast with Jurassic World Evolution 2. While I think a couple of things could be tweaked to make certain things more obvious, it doesn't stop you from having an absolutely wonderful time playing the game. The addition of the flying and aquatic dinosaurs has been excellent, and I really hope for more content and DLC to go along with it!
