Greak: Memories of Azur Reviews
A beautiful tale about three siblings in their quest to rid the world on an ancient evil, hell bent of corruption and destruction.
With its beautiful art direction, Greak is a journey you should embark on.

As it is, for every few minutes of joy I had with Greak: Memories of Azur, I generally had another filled with some level of frustration. Ultimately that lead to a great deal of disappointment, which is a real shame.
Greak: Memories of Azur despite its strong points in the end fells short due to the flaws od the concept on which is based. The collaboration between the siblings is the worst part of the game, due to the severely lacking AI and the control system chosen by the developers.
Greak: Memories of Azur is one of the most beautiful games I’ve played this year but the rest of it doesn’t match the visual quality. Having to control three characters at once leads to a lot of frustrating moments even though at other times It seems to work well. If you’re a fan of Metroidvania games I do recommend checking it out at some point if only to see this gorgeous world.
Navegante tried to be brave, but at the same time, he got his hand used to the coward. That game could have been a lot more polished, the beautiful story felt like it was just a little wasted.

Greak: Memories of Azur, with all its problems, still entertains you for 6 to 7 hours. The main reason for the game's attractiveness is its hand-held designs, which are eye-catching and you will like to stare at the game environments constantly.

Nice and dangerous story of three siblings with good puzzle and sometimes really hard challenge.

Greak: Memories of Azur is beautiful and cute fairytale, sometimes interesting and fun, but in the end - pretty forgettable.

Greak: Memories of Azur is visually appealing, yet, it lacks enjoyment. Even though some puzzles are engaging, the combat aspect is primitive, and the controls are not practical.

Greak: Memories of Azur is a fun adventure with great puzzle mechanics. The handcrafted art and good soundtrack are the highlights, but non-functional commands end up harming the overall experience.

Don't be lured unaware by its siren call! While there is a decent experience underneath, some inexplicable design decisions, the uninspired sidequests and serviceable story don't buoy the adventure enough to make up for how badly implemented the game's primary mechanic is. If you came away from the eShop demo impressed or you're able to overlook a very obvious fatal flaw, you might be able to derive some pleasure out of Greak's mission. Don't expect to find me spending much time reminiscing about these memories.
Greak: Memories of Azur is one of the most beautiful games out there with its captivating visuals and immersive audio. However, its gameplay is riddled with issues such as vague progression clues and clunky combat which make the experience frequently frustrating.
I fell in love with Greak: Memories of Azur from minute one and would be overjoyed to see a sequel sometime in the future. Navegante Entertainment have created a world rich with lore and overflowing with melancholy storytelling that I quite simply wish there was more of it to explore. The powerful orchestral score adds considerable weight to both the action and the narrative, folding in another layer of depth to the experience. The puzzle-solving may not be the most taxing, but the levels are well designed and showcased with the most beautiful hand drawn visuals. Short, sweet, but almost perfectly formed, Greak: Memories of Azur should be on the radar of every Metroidvania fan out there.
When you’re this far into a system’s lifespan, making a splash with a game that not only has a distinctive look but that’s in a way that still feels fresh can take some work...
Greak: Memories of Azur is not a very successful game in general, at least in terms of gameplay, but if you like its artistic features, you can ignore its flaws and enjoy the game.

While Greak: Memories of Azur has some notable qualities, it’s not the epic side-scrolling adventure you might have been hoping for either.
Let me start this review by saying how much I love hand-drawn animations. I play and enjoy a wide range of games, but visually, there is always something about the hand-drawn titles that catch my eye.
