Resident Evil 4 VR Reviews
Resident Evil 4 VR is a triumph for the platform. This game is often put on a pedestal and so when I say that this is the definitive way to play this classic, I don’t say it lightly. Legacy issues like escort missions and the inevitable immersion-breaking cutscenes aside, this is not only one of the best games on the Quest 2, but one of the best virtual reality games I have ever played.
More than just a fantastic killer app for the Oculus Quest 2, Resident Evil 4 VR is a killer app for virtual reality in general. Unlike Half-Life Alyx, this is a phenomenal shooter available on the cheapest, most readily available, and most comfortable VR system in the market. It features everything you have always loved from Resident Evil 4, but in a brand new perspective that turns what was already fun and immersive into something even more intense and memorable.
Resident Evil 4 is one of the most popular video games. Moving it into VR just works. Because the game is roughly 16 years old it works quite well on the stand-alone Meta Quest 2 headset. They have changed several of the components to make you feel very immersed in the VR world and become Leon. You get at least 14 hours of gameplay!
Resident Evil 4 VR is a must-have for Meta Quest owners. The game plays surprisingly well on the Meta Quest 2 headset and it captures the feel of RE4 in a way that respects the original while also adding enough elements to entice players of previous versions.
Enter the era of action horror like never before as Resident Evil 4 reinvents one of the most beloved games of all time
Resident Evil 4 VR is a brilliant port of an already fantastic game and the ideal way to experience Capcom's classic
Resident Evil 4 VR - The Mercenaries is the original classic mode (complete with all five characters and four maps) rebuilt entirely for VR.
Resident Evil 4 VR is a bet won almost entirely. Transposing the famous horror title into virtual reality might have seemed like a gamble, given the many adjustments to be made to adapt to the peripheral, but Capcom and Armature Studios have managed to put the player in the shoes of Leon Kennedy in a very believable way. The title makes great use of all the potential of the Oculus Quest and also provides various options to adapt the experience to a wide slice of players, both those looking for a more comfortable journey, and those looking for action and adrenaline.

Resident Evil 4 VR is a brilliant reimagining of a classic favorite. Easily the most dynamic of any Resident Evil 4 port, Leon can shoot, reload and heal while on the run, making for a thrilling survival horror experience.
Resident Evil 4 VR is a near-perfect way to revisit the survival horror classic, thanks to Oculus taking every measure for a truly immersive day in Leon's life.
Resident Evil 4 returns in virtual reality exclusively on the Oculus Quest 2. If the game is identical to the original material in its graphics and game design, seen from the inside, necessarily, it is spectacular. Especially since the game is not stingy in very epic moments.

Adapting a work like Resident Evil 4 to the logic of virtual reality must not have been an easy task. Armature succeeds in the intent, although with some inevitable compromise dictated by the age of the product and the structural limits of the game.

Once upon a time there was a survival horror that stood out, at the same time, as a masterpiece and a model that would be the cornerstone of the new shooter-like spirit of the series. Once upon a time but also in this very day, again, with Resident Evil 4 VR, virtual reality port not perfect, but very enjoyable.

From this umpteenth revival of Resident Evil 4, despite all the good that one may think, we did not expect much. Well! we didn't see it coming, but Armature managed a very nice VR adaptation of Capcom's classic.

Overall, the transition of Resident Evil 4 to VR is a triumphant affair. Seeing iconic locations brought to full-scale VR life is not only a wonderful nostalgia blast but the conversion injects new life into arguably the best Resident Evil game. Fighting off the hordes of Ganados of Pueblo and the other villains of the Los Illuminados, as they get right in your face, is a gaming treat all players should experience.
Resident Evil 4 VR succeeds in making a 16-year-old gaming experience feel completely brand new and delivers Oculus Quest 2 its first killer app.
Resident Evil 4 is a fantastic game no matter what you play it on, but the jump to VR has a few issues. The controls feel good in a vacuum, but certain options will make the game exponentially harder. If you're someone who doesn't get sick in VR, this is one of the best titles on the platform. If you do get sick, however, stick with the 2D versions.
Resident Evil 4 VR is no lazy port, and genuinely adds another dimension to what many consider to be the best game in the series.
Resident Evil 4 VR is a new (and at times exhilarating) way to relive a classic from 16 years ago with all that VR can bring to a first-person action-horror.
