Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Reviews
Space Marine 2 is a time capsule to a simpler time but with a whole new coat of paint. It’s a no-frill third-person shooter/melee hack ‘n’ slasher set in one of the most decorated sci-fi universes. It doesn’t stray far off its predecessor and builds upon it in every conceivable way. Clearly, Saber put a lot of love and attention into the game and respected its source material to the tee, creating a meaty package that will keep you busy for some time. Praise the Emporer of Mankind, for he is giving.
The series thunders back into the spotlight with the force of a space marine hammer crushing heretic skulls. The Emperor protects!
While some may find the campaign to be too short, the relentless action, extremely responsive gameplay, fluid combat and a gore system that would put many other franchises to shame, combined with a robust co-op mode and enjoyable PvP multiplayer, makes Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 one of the best games of 2024, and one of the best action games in recent years.

Space Marine II is focused primarily on bombastic action, with blood spurting in spurts and bones cracking. You'd probably be hard pressed to find a more entertaining shooter this year. Both newcomers and connoisseurs of the Warhammer universe are welcome.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been worth the very long wait and is an incredible worthwhile sequel that betters the original in just about every conceivable way. From the visuals, to the story, gameplay and additional modes on top, it not only continues a story that was set out a decade ago, but it carves a way for a much brighter, more elaborate future for the franchise. Full of epic moments, it’s a game you and your friends will love fully and completely.
Space Marine 2 knows exactly what it's trying to be and makes no bones about its glaring limitations from start to finish. Fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe will no doubt find more mileage in the campaign and characters, but for players with only a passing interest in 40k (or players with absolutely no interest), it's hard to ignore the patchy narrative and increasingly one-note gameplay. That said, there’s a lot of potential here, and we hope to see a third outing from Sabre Interactive in the future.
If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40K or enjoyed the original Space Marine, then Space Marine 2 is absolutely worth your time. The game is a clear evolution of its predecessor, with combat that feels more impactful, smoother, and downright visceral.
Overall, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a worthy successor that offers a successful mix of intense battles, impressive graphics and a captivating story. The atmosphere of the Warhammer world is masterfully captured, and the action-packed encounters provide thrills and adrenaline. Despite minor flaws, such as the repetitive design and unreliable AI, the game manages to excite both old fans and newcomers alike. With its successful gameplay, extensive content and cooperative approach, Space Marine 2 is a must for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the brutal world of Warhammer 40K. Especially with two friends, the game is incredibly fun and will keep Warhammer fans glued to their consoles for more than one playthrough.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a fun, straightforward and no-frills game. Saber Interactive's new effort has a play offering that focuses on multiplayer, but manages to satisfy those who like to interact alone. A few minor technical and artistic flaws, coupled with maps that are perhaps too large for the genre do not allow it to aspire to higher thrones, but the experience packaged by the US studio deserves to be tried by TPS lovers, all the more so if with the possibility of tackling it together with two friends.

Space Marine 2 satisfies the pervasive fantasy of putting on the heavy boots of an iconic science fiction soldier.
Gorgeous visuals and loving attention detail make Space Marine 2 an immersive treat, but a few irritating flaws make the combat more frustrating than empowering.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is always ready to deliver action-packed moments, one after another, in a linear, short, and explosive campaign. And although it’s not extraordinary, it reminds us that games like this are starting to be missed.

In the end; Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine II delivers action and lots of it and enough of a story to keep players motivated through the carnage and unending waves of enemies.
With Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II we can say that Space Marine is now the most successful action series in the Warhammer 40K universe.

'Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2' is a game with beautiful and lesser images. The controls are not the easiest, but certainly easy to get into. It offers both PvE and PvP content that can connect between all platforms. Team play is a requirement. The story is on the short side, but very brutal and also replayable. The game puts you against hordes of enemies that you have to survive and exterminate. In co-op you have the ultimate experience with two friends. This game will most likely make you a Warhammer fan if you weren't already.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is one of the best games I’ve played in the past few years. A game that calls back to the glory days of Xbox 360 gaming, being nothing more than just an absolute blast to play. Even if it is a little light on content, its core gameplay loop was addicting enough to keep me busy for many hours, never making me ever hope to reach its very end. This is straight-up a must-play and an easy Game of the Year contender. Praise the Omnissiah!
Games Workshop’s prolific videogame franchise strikes gold again with a terrific follow-up to one of its best entries to date with Space Marine 2.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 manages to live up to the legacy of its cult-classic predecessor. Casual players will have a great time with the game thanks to its balls-to-the-wall gameplay and supreme visuals. If you’re in it for the long haul, the technical issues and balancing (or the lack thereof) will be a point of contention. Hopefully, Saber will be improving and adding to the gameplay while the game is still in its prime.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a title that I can in good conscience recommend to anyone who craves intense, violent gameplay. Fans of the universe will certainly be satisfied, and people who, like me, are not familiar with it, will certainly be interested in it. It is absolutely not a perfect game, but it offers a lot of great fun, and its atmosphere is unique.

Offering a good dose of action in an original universe, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II manages to deliver a great experience. The beautiful visuals combine well with the setting, so that the battles are exciting and complete, especially alongside friends. It's a shame that more care was needed in some specific points, but nothing that compromises this great game, especially for fans of the brand or lovers of the genre.
