Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Reviews
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has quickly become one of my favorite open-world RPGs of all time. Warhorse sits atop RPG Mount Rushmore with the best this industry has to offer.
“Kingdom Come: Deliverance II” is a title so huge, so ambitious and at the same time mercilessly addictive that it is difficult to describe in words. The perfectly designed and created world presented is filled with dozens of unforgettable, characterful characters, the subsequent quests surprise you with their originality even after 50 hours of play and the enormous freedom of action make it impossible to tear yourself away from the screen. I'm finishing because I have to hit the remaining side missions! And remember: Audentes fortuna iuvat!

The big selling point of Kingdom Come Deliverance II is also its biggest potential drawback. You’ve got to be genuinely interested in the history that it depicts to find it immersive. I do wonder whether some people will come in expecting a Skyrim-like or a first-person Witcher experience and end up disappointed with this. It’s not that kind of game. It’s far more grounded and gritty, but if reading Tolstoy or Yoshikawa appeals to you, then Kingdom Come Deliverance II is very much for you.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an impeccable sequel that exudes quality and has a huge impact on the RPG genre.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is what any great sequel aspires to be. Evolving from petty countryside trifles into a full-blown historical drama filled with political intrigues of important figures in the powerful regions of Kuttenberg and Trosecko. Overhauled game systems, improved UI, streamlined mechanics, enhanced graphics and better technology provide overall much grander and polished experience but keep the same spirit of the original game.

Eurojank, but the very best kind; a grand adventure polished to shine, earning your affection without pandering to the player.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is one of the finest games I've played in years, with a gripping story and refined gameplay. It's still early in the year, but this is definitely on course to be 2025's Game of the Year.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 doubles down on everything that made the first game so memorable for so many players. It didn’t set out to reinvent itself. Instead, it made great strives to realizing that vision of Medieval Europe the first game was always supposed to be. And with DLC on the horizon, I can’t wait to sink another 200 hours into this wonderful world. If you loved the first game, I can’t recommend this game enough. You NEED to experience it.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 mixes all the ingredients we've seen for years in RPGs and combines them into an unfamiliar, but very enjoyable new recipe. It's hard to get into, but once you do, there's no turning back.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the perfect sequel to an already great opening chapter: bigger and better in almost every way, it refines and improves the previous formula by adding some new weapons and gameplay mechanics, while staying faithful to what made its predecessor stand out as a unique and quite charming game. And also, it features an even more involved story with a richer, more vibrant cast of memorable characters.

KCD2’s hyper-realistic take on 15th-century Bohemia-from its brutal gameplay to its breathtaking world-makes for an RPG so rich, even 100 hours feel insufficient.

I don’t remember the last time I was so engrossed in an RPG like Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Calling it as good as Baldur’s Gate 3 or The Witcher 3 is not an overexaggerated take: I legitimately loved it more than I could have ever predicted. The story is sublime, the writing is magnificent, exploration feels rewarding, and the game truly lets you build your character the way you want.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II proves to be an even more extensive and interesting project than its predecessor, with which, however, it shares many of those edgy elements that characterized it. Sure, the second chapter shows itself to be decidedly more “modern” and in step with the times, but the ultimate target audience is still that of a title fundamentally still, and as never before, niche, not for everyone. Still, I really enjoyed all those additions on the gameplay level and sincerely immersed myself in an even broader and more mature story than the first chapter. Too bad, though, that the pace management of the missions is not always brilliant and many moments are far too heavy, but we are still faced with a title impossible not to appreciate, especially for fans of the genre and those who loved the first Kingdom Come Deliverance.

Although the game adheres to a strict philosophy of medieval realism — and, as such, includes some trying sections, particularly for certain builds — there is just nothing else quite like it. Steeped in historical fact, and allowing for a deep level of role-playing immersion, the continuation of Henry of Skalitz’s tale is a masterclass of storytelling filled with an unforgettable cast of characters, many of whom are pulled straight from the pages of history.
Kingdom Come Deliverance II is most certainly not a game for everybody. But I have no doubt that this will be Game of the Year for a significant portion of the gaming population. If you have any like for western style RPGs or games with a medieval setting you should definitely give this one a try. Unless you are a delicate flower that is easily offended, this is a game you will grow to love.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an incredible RPG masterpiece. It offers so much freedom and the ability to make your own decisions and be left to deal with the consequences, good or bad. And that’s quite refreshing these days. It’s deep, immersive and driven by its characters and interactions.
I love the immersive experience and exploration of Kingdom Come Deliverance, and those are some of the elements that were carried over to this sequel. Kingdom Come Deliverance II does not reinvent the wheel, nor does it try to. Warhorse Studios knew what were the strong points of the first game and focused on them, which for better or for worse, puts this sequel on par with its predecessor, minus the element of surprise that the studio had back in 2018.

"Audentes Fortuna Iuvat" is not only Henry's motto, but it should also be that of the Warhorse Studios team, given the results achieved with this epic saga. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a majestic work and a natural evolution of the first chapter. In an era of overly similar video games, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a breath of fresh air with its realism and medieval simulator essence.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is best enjoyed as a kind of Renaissance Faire rather than a 15th-century simulator. The game is at its best when it gives players freedom to explore. Sadly, the main quest has too many pain points where player autonomy is stripped, in favor of a trope-heavy narrative that feels ripped from a 2004 comedy sketch. Its best moments are rare, but when they do land, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II rivals the feeling of playing Red Dead Redemption or Oblivion for the first time.
