A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead Reviews
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a movie-tied survival horror romp that works rather well as a game. If you enjoyed the movies or horror games, this is sure to give you a good spook. For a horror video game based on a movie, it's surprisingly good. The phonogram mechanic makes perfect sense with the movie's premise, the visuals are great, and the game is scary when the time is right.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a better game than I expected. It’s good, but it could have honestly been a lot better, even great. The developers have, for the most part, successfully managed to translate the movie’s unique and engaging premise into game form. However, uneven level design and repetitive gameplay holds it back from being truly great. I hope we get more from A Quiet Place, as there’s so much untapped potential in bringing it to gaming form, but this is a solid enough first effort.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has the task of transporting the terror proposed by the famous film series into a videogame experience. Although the title has some elements of repetitiveness and technical problems, the game manages to maintain an eerie atmosphere and utilises sound design to best engage the viewer.

Although the concept of the film is faithfully reproduced, the successful video game remake is not successful. The main mechanics dampen the pace too much, handing the audience a poorly executed and unoriginal product.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead might not be an action game and definitely doesn’t have the best story, but it is authentic, and as a lover of the movie universe that certainly made this a special experience. If you haven’t watched the movies then the closest game comparison is Alien: Isolation. This game left me with a tension-filled quietness even when not playing it and that’s all you can really ask for from a good horror game. As a fan of the movie series, I certainly consider this as a must play.
Interestingly, I still consider A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead a title that deserves to be played at some point. While it's not a bad game, it doesn't quite reach the same level of depth as other works in the genre, such as Alien: Isolation and The Last of Us. The game keeps you on the edge of your seat, but it loses steam as you go along. It could certainly be better, but it's still worth the experience.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is fun if you’re looking for an entertaining horror game. It has a lot of fun mechanics that add a lot of nuances to each level while throwing in fun death mazes for you to navigate. But being said, the Death Angels AI isn’t the best, and many of the story beats aren’t as heavy-hitting as their movie counterparts.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a quite good mid-price title. Don't expect technical or gameplay innovations, but fans of the movie franchise should get their fix out of it.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’s sound effects, compelling plot, and stunningly eerie visuals undoubtedly add something special to the stealth-horror genre, even though it doesn’t reinvent it. Although it has some shortcomings—the AI can be a little too predictable at times, and the level design occasionally seems to be trying to actively work against you—all in all, it’s a fun stealth experience that both franchise fans and horror enthusiasts will enjoy.
A stealth game with engaging interaction mechanics and cool aliens, weakened by spotty AI and lackluster characters.
Movie adaptations in video games rarely hit the mark, but A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a solid game overall, though it falls short of a true horror experience.
In addition to being extremely well-designed and polished, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a game that will keep you on your toes the whole time. It has never been so tense to open a door, drawer, or even simply walk around trying to avoid objects that could attract the attention of creatures. This game, without a doubt, provides you with perfect immersion.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a rather immersive and adrenaline-pumping experience, and although it is not a masterpiece of the horror genre, it is still very interesting, which is hard to find nowadays even in decidedly higher-budget productions. Some elements we didn't like so much, such as the narrowness of some areas that gave us more than a few headaches to get through or the bugs and glitches that - unfortunately - we ran into on more than one occasion. But apart from that, we feel like recommending it to anyone who is looking for a post-apocalyptic horror adventure, with a fair length (about six hours), a balanced level of challenge - net of the aforementioned issues - and a low price (€29.99).

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is an intense and exciting horror experience that captures the unsettling vibe of the movie series perfectly. Simply exploring your eerie surroundings whilst making as little noise as possible makes for an engrossing experience, and whilst the slower pace won’t be for everyone, I found myself completely hooked into the high-stakes at play. It’s dramatic, it’s unnerving, and it’s packed with sequences that’ll leave you on the edge of your seat as you try to make as little noise as possible… what else could you ask for from a video game set in the world of A Quiet Place?
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a thriller/walking simulation that struggles to fulfill its potential. In addition to the repetitive game dynamics, we can say that the atmosphere still feels good at times.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead manages to entertain despite not offering particularly memorable gameplay or storyline. Given its low price, however, it is a good choice for both thriller fans and those looking for an innovative experience thanks to the special feature of microphone-activated gameplay.

I’ve been back and forth on what I would rate A Quiet Place The Road Ahead. At the end of the day, its issues stick out to me so much because this game flirts so much with perfection. They aim to immerse you in to an experience that will make your heart stop. It successfully does so until you hit a minor flaw that can break your immersion.
What really stands out in A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is how willing it is to experiment and build entire mechanics around its central conceit of managing sound.
I have to admit; that I was sceptical about how they would achieve making A Quiet Place a game without being too dull. The gameplay is engaging and having you open everything manually adds a certain depth to the horror elements. The story is okay and provides a nice setup, however, I lost interest rather quickly and the plot feels too predictable. I felt the notes didn’t add much, maybe they talked more about the early days of the Invasion. From the ones I found it felt like just ranting. Pacing was also an issue for me as well. I understand you aren’t able to run, but walking does become gruelling after a while, especially after dying from minor mistakes. I didn’t use A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’s microphone feature, as I have dogs and I would have been dying a lot more. Overall, I’d say the game provides a great experience and catches the atmosphere and tone of the movies but makes it better with you being at the wheel. I would definitively say it’s worth playing at least once, even more so if you enjoy the films. This is why I’m awarding it the Thumb Culture Gold Award.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead was a surprisingly good horror experience, combining human and alien fears into a chilling, atmospheric game. Fans and newcomers alike should enjoy at least one playthrough of this fun horror romp.
