Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Reviews
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a fantastic game because the title it's based on is splendid. Konami offers excellent graphics in this new version. The only problem is that there was room to modernize elements of the original game while still maintaining respect for the work, but the developer decided to play safe. This means that if you're expecting something different from what you've known for over 20 years, you'll be disappointed. On the other hand, for those looking to relive Snake's adventure or experience the saga for the first time, Metal Gear Solid Delta is an excellent option.

A cynic might look at it and see a barely enhanced 20+ year old game, but a closer inspection reveals a version that meticulously enhances the game's rough edges without affecting its design or balance at all. The perfect remaster for a title that even now is ahead of the game.

A practically flawless remake of an already incredible title, METAL GEAR SOLID Δ should be on your radar.
Overall, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a well done remaster of a game that remains as classic as it ever was. The changes are a mix of positive and negative, but there aren't any that drag down the experience. At worst, they're a matter of preference. For many people, this title is likely to be the optimal way to experience Metal Gear Solid 3, and it's easy to be impressed by the sheer amount of work that went into capturing the classic original.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a good remake, but it's a step below contemporary games that have taken that route to connect with the past. Although it's rough around the edges, it manages to respect Kojima Productions' original work, so beyond the audiovisual improvements and gameplay improvements, you'll have in your hands the same great game from 2004. Nothing more, nothing less.

A careful but not overly courageous remake of a masterpiece that everyone should play: a little old in its structure, but brilliant and contemporary in other aspects.

METAL GEAR SOLID DELTA: SNAKE EATER takes an already awesome game and enhances it in profound ways that'll impress everyone from newcomers to long-time fans. It does such a phenomenal job that I wish every remake could remain this true yet be this innovative. 🐍
Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is a historic game that brought together all the elements of a successful game, including a great story, interconnected gameplay systems, and excellent level design. These elements created a great combination that made it the best part of the series and one of the best games in history. However, as for the Delta version, despite my great admiration for its fidelity to the original game and the excellent improvements to the controls and user interface, I still find it insufficient compared to the remakes of this era. More effort could have been put into developing it to make it a better and more modern experience, rather than just being a new version of the third installment like Subsistence.

With Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami has succeeded in creating a respectful remake of the classic that preserves the essence of the original and gently modernizes it. The story, characters, and Kojima's quirky touch still work brilliantly 20 years later and are appealingly presented thanks to the visual overhaul in Unreal Engine 5. Above all, the revamped controls, new perspectives, and small convenience features ensure that the game still feels fresh today. On the other hand, the fragmented levels and fluctuating performance, which slow down the experience somewhat, are not entirely convincing. Nevertheless, thanks to well-thought-out mechanics, iconic boss fights, and an unmistakable atmosphere, the stealth adventure remains a thrilling experience. Those who loved the original will find a successful reinterpretation with a modern twist that is equally suitable for veterans of the series and newcomers alike.

"Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater isn't just a remake; it's a masterful resurrection of a timeless legend. Konami has painstakingly rebuilt a masterpiece in Unreal Engine 5, delivering breathtaking visuals and a modernized control scheme that finally allows the brilliant gameplay to match its legendary story. By preserving every bit of the original's soul, from the iconic voice acting to the deep survival mechanics, this stands as the definitive way to experience one of gaming's greatest tales. While its absolute faithfulness means some minor quirks of its 20-year-old design remain, this is an astonishing achievement and an essential purchase for both grizzled veterans and a new generation of operatives."

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a technically flawless remake of a game that remains iconic. But that means it comes with all the strengths and weaknesses of the original

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a top-notch remake that manages to be both respectful of the past and significantly alter its essence. The game is a legendary chapter in an immortal saga, so its value as a game is undeniable. Konami has introduced several new features, both in terms of gameplay and content, although the game still shows its age in some aspects. Aside from a few minor technical issues (including a less than flawless fluidity), the nostalgia effort can easily be described as a success.

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is a safe remake, but it’s a successful one. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel or take bold creative risks, but it doesn’t need to. What it does is preserve one of the greatest stealth action games of all time, bring it up to modern visual standards, and make it accessible for a new generation.
Never had the chance to play this masterpiece? Jump right in without looking back. Are you a die-hard fan of the series? This is an excellent purchase. But if you fall outside of either of these categories, it might be best to wait before buying it. Yes, the game is beautiful and stays true to the original work from start to finish, which is perfect for purists. But the lack of additional content does not justify its high price tag. Despite this, we hope that sales will satisfy Konami and give us what we really want: a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid!

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater succeeds in bringing back a 2000s classic with revamped graphics and modernized controls, making the gameplay experience more satisfying. However, Konami falls short by staying too faithful to Hideo Kojima’s original work, missing opportunities to introduce changes that could have made the gameplay even better.

MGS Delta is very close to the perfect remake. Every change improves the game, and the most important aspects of the original are preserved. Despite technical issues, this is the best way to experience Big Boss' origin story.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a smartly modernised remake of a revered classic, undercut by poor optimisation.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater takes an all-time classic and faithfully recreates it for modern audiences. It feels somewhat safe with its dedication to not expand on the original, recreating every single moment faithfully, but its new gameplay mechanics make it feel fresh once again. This is a must-play for long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise.
