Ninja Gaiden 4 Reviews
Ninja Gaiden 4 is a darn function action game that unfortunately avoids the heights that one might expect, given the pedigree of the developers. The very fun core combat shines, but everything surrounding it feels underbaked. The rushed ending and lackluster second character keep it from shining as brightly as it should. It's still a fun character action game with some satisfying and meaty combat, and it's something that fans of the genre should enjoy.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is a brutal, spectacular, and incredibly satisfying return to the iconic series, reminding us why fans have longed for Ryu Hayabusa and the world of ninjas. PlatinumGames has delivered a dynamic combat system, fluid animations, and a diverse arsenal that make every battle a pure pleasure. While the story and Ryu's role are disappointing, and the ending loses momentum, the overall experience is redeemed by excellent gameplay and a constant sense of power. It's a great return for a critically acclaimed IP.

A comeback that builds upon the already solidified Ninja Gaiden gameplay with complementary mechanics - and if it hadn’t done Ryu Hayabusa an injustice, it could’ve been hailed as a true classic.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a bold new beginning for the series that brings a new dynamic to combat while still living up to the series' legacy. It may not be the Ninja Gaiden longtime fans were hoping for, but it's an excellent game and one of the best action titles of the generation.

Unity truly makes strength, and the collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames hits the mark. Despite a few minor flaws, Ninja Gaiden 4 stays true to the spirit of the series, enriching it with new mechanics that clearly bear the signature of the Bayonetta team. Ninja Gaiden 4 lives up to the fame of the series and offers an experience that is as bloody as it is enjoyable. Despite falling into visual and plot monotony at times, the incredible combat takes the lead providing an unforgettable experience for everyone who loves a good action game.

Ninja Gaiden 4 offered an enjoyable and challenging experience, maintaining the series' identity for which it has been famous for years. The fast combat style with new ideas makes every battle exciting, and the stunning graphics add visual depth to the experience. Despite the lack of environmental variety, the high quality compensated for that. I did not face any technical issues or bugs during play, which made my experience smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end. The game combined the amazing difficulty adored by long-time fans of the series and the famous gore in the series' history, along with stunning technical performance and a distinctive graphical level.

Yakumo’s gameplay is truly satisfying; the combat system is fast-paced, fluid, and deep, while the finishing moves add a special touch. However, Ryu Hayabusa’s short and shallow sections, repetitive environments, and some forgettable boss battles detract from the overall experience. Still, the pace of the action and the variety of combat offer a great deal of enjoyment for fans of the series.

And so this review of Ninja Gaiden 4 suddenly doubles as an obituary. Because just a few days ago, Tomonobu Itagaki, the creator of Ninja Gaiden, passed away at the age of 58. And although he had nothing to do with the fourth installment, the franchise owes its existence to his creative spirit. Rest in peace, senpai! Ninja Gaiden 4 is the perfect starting point for anyone who has never played a game in the franchise. Even gamers put off by the difficulty of the previous games need not panic. This is a thoroughly modern game that you can play on your own terms. Forget the generic locations and enemies: throw yourself fully into the masterful combat and enjoy all the bloody brutality that Ninja Gaiden 4 has to offer!

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a triumphant return for a franchise that has long defined high-intensity action gaming. While its narrative and level design occasionally falter, these shortcomings are far outweighed by a combat system that is fluid, fast, and deeply satisfying. The collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames pays off in spades, bringing new mechanics like Yakumo’s BloodRaven form and weapon transformations that inject variety and excitement into every encounter. Ultimately, Ninja Gaiden 4 delivers exactly what fans have been hoping for: relentless, skill-based action that honors the series’ legacy while introducing fresh gameplay innovations. It may not redefine storytelling in action games, however, when it comes to pure, exhilarating combat, Ninja Gaiden 4 firmly stakes its claim as a standout entry and a worthy continuation of the legendary franchise.
In a straightforward and objective way, Ninja Gaiden 4 is on par with the original trilogy — the problem is that the last game was released over ten years ago. Even though it's competent, the lack of diversity during the campaign noticeably hurts the final product. Everything the game delivers, it does so violently. And violence, when overdone, loses its intended shock value.

After several weeks spent with Ninja Gaiden 4, I can confidently say it’s a very successful return of the legendary series. As always, the key to its success is the extremely satisfying and deep combat system. The game does have its flaws. The story is mostly an excuse, and the camera can be unreliable. You could say same about level design that could reward exploration better, but the sheer amount of content and the smooth performance makes up for these shortcomings.

A great pick for genres fans and newbies curious about the franchise, Ninja Gaiden 4 has a few stumbles that keep it from reaching the level of effectiveness that previous entries achieved.
Ninja Gaiden 4 doesn't just play the game; it changes it. With one of the most complete and professional combat systems in the history of the genre, this is a glorious comeback that will be remembered for a long time.
