A fun world to explore; odd characters that you meet only add to the game's overall appeal. Wheel World has impressed with its art style and the quality of the story.
Wheel World was a welcome surprise with a high level of polish and tons of fun to be had from start to finish. Slowly but surely working on the bike and feeling it become more powerful is a true delight and kept me glued to my playthrough in the few sittings it took. Annapurna’s high standard of quality will now include Wheel World in its prestigious ranks.
In the end, I was just hunting for more ridiculous bike upgrades, including a frame that replaced my sleek bike with a massive hotdog. Wheel World isn’t everything I’ve ever wanted in a cycling game, but I appreciate all its polish - the sort of chill game you stick on for a couple of hours in the evening, do some races, and call it a day.
This flippant, friendly air serves Wheel World well.
Wheel World is an amalgamation of boring races and exploration, poor storytelling, and often clumsy gameplay that never felt great.
A quirky and offbeat open world biking RPG that works nicely until races get more taxing, at which point its mechanical limitations make it frustrating to play
As it is, Wheel World delivers what its premise suggests and that's a relaxing bike ride - nothing more, nothing less.
Good for a weekend of whimsy and adventure, this bicycle racing game is charming enough to win over any racing game fan.
Wheel World is a sort of cozy cycling open world that's impossible not to fall in love with, even considering some minor bugs and some not-so-polished aspects.

Anyone looking for a chill, cool, slightly weird racing game would do well to check this one out.
Wheel World is a delightfully tactile indie title, and a real celebration of cycling. It feels fantastic to play and it's lovely to look at, but it's held back by a finicky finale and poor performance on PS5. We're hoping that a couple of meaningful post-release patches will address our complaints, because at its core, Wheel World is joyous.
Developers Messhof have created a cycling utopia with Wheel World; they've created a universe that celebrates the art of cycling and includes a pumping soundtrack to go along with it. It's a game that I'm honestly surprised hasn't been made sooner, due to how prevalent cycling is as a mode of transport and how cyclists love their bikes and the freedom they give them. This is one that I would recommend to my non-gamer cycling mates, as it's so easy to pick up and will provide them with an immersive world that I know they'd just love to be a reality.
A wonderful open world adventure filled with racing and exploration, Wheel World is a joy to behold thanks to its intuitive controls and stunning cel-shaded art style. Even if you're not a fan of bicycles, this gorgeous little game is well worth your time.
Wheel World is a cyclist's haven, with tons of challenging races to beat, lands to cycle through, and heaps of customisation options to create your perfect bicycle. Highly recommended.
Wheel World is at its best in the first part, shaping up to be an interesting and relaxing experience, especially for those who love cycling , since here they will find a certain expertise in replicating the sensations that only a good pedal stroke can convey.

Wheel World is one of those experiences that embraces the player with its lighthearted atmosphere, friendly visuals, and welcoming soundtrack. While it's not a game that relies on major twists or complex challenges, it knows exactly what it wants to deliver: an uncomplicated, fun, and engaging adventure, with a healthy dose of exploration, customization, and naturally evolving racing mechanics.

Ultimately, Wheel World is a small and charming open world, presenting a stylish look, an enjoyable biking gameplay loop, and various high adrenaline races, up and down the hills of this magic island. With rather formulaic open-world activities and slightly unpolished physics, the game doesn’t quite reach its full potential, but it’s also a pleasant experience that ends before some of its shortcomings could start to bore or frustrate. And, well, it’s out today and is on Game Pass, so it doesn’t cost much to give it a shot yourself. So, hop on your magical apocalypse-avoiding bikes, and let’s roll!
Once I started playing Wheel World, a wave of nostalgia hit me as I quickly realized that it’s a modern version of Road Rash. Where most attempts have tried to emulate the formula and failed, Wheel World unintentionally captures the essence of what made Road Rash beloved and succeeds by modernizing it. Wheel World is a casual and addictive arcade racer on two wheels. To put it simply, Wheel World is Road Rash for the modern generation. Instead of motorcycles, whips and rock music, Wheel World is about bikes, changing components, drafting, and indie electronic accented by the beautiful sounds of nature. While it mostly brings along the best qualities of the classic two wheel racer, it unfortunately carries some of the shortcomings as well.
Wheel World is an excellent game, bringing a realistic weightiness from the bike handling and merging it with a beautiful world that's a joy to explore.
