The best thing about Galactic Racer's multiplayer is that it feels like Galactic Racer's single-player.
If you miss the days of Burnout, classic Need For Speed games, Split/Second: Velocity and BLUR, then you'll be wonderfully surprised by Star Wars: Galactic Racer.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an absolute treat of a racing game. The rogue-like element feels fresh in the genre, even if they aren’t the first to ever adopt it. The campaign mode and characters are genuinely great to watch, sprinkled with surprises and Easter eggs for fans. Racing itself is a masterpiece; grappling with handling and acceleration makes for an awesome learning curve and the audio experience is incredibly enthralling. This is probably the very best time to be a Star Wars gaming fan and Galactic Racer deserves a lot more hype than it received pre-launch. Don’t sit on the fence, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is exceptional and a must have.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer delivers exhilarating arcade racing, excellent vehicle customization, and a surprisingly engaging roguelite structure. Repetitive environments and a forgettable story hold it back, but Fuse Games has created a thrilling return to racing in the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer scratches an itch I didn’t realize I had for this kind of stupidly fast arcade racer, largely thanks to a roguelite campaign that injects adrenaline into every run. Managing risky builds and chasing the high of that big payout makes it easy to get carried away, and even easier to crash and burn. It is repetitive in the same way a classic arcade cabinet is, but that magnetic pull remains; it leaves you frustrated for all of five minutes before you’re right back at the starting line for another tour.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an absolute triumph of arcade racing, and I genuinely didn’t expect to love it this much. It captures the impossible speed and raw aggression that made Burnout 3 so special, while still feeling like its own game. The roguelite structure works surprisingly well, giving every race meaningful stakes without compromising the skill-based racing at its core. A few multiplayer limitations and the lack of control rebinding hold it back from perfection, but they’re minor blemishes on an otherwise fantastic package. Galactic Racer is an easy recommendation and the closest any game has come to filling the Burnout 3-shaped hole in my life.
Light-speeding to 2026, FUSE Games has delivered a racing experience worthy of the Star Wars legacy. For Star Wars and racing game fans alike, racing around the galaxy is an exhilarating experience like no other. For me, Star Wars Galactic Racer takes a top spot on the scoreboard as one of my favourite racing games of all time.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a fabulous looking and frantically fast anti-grav racer that gets a little repetitive thanks to its heavy reliance on repeatedly revisiting the same slim selection of planets, but has successfully lit the afterburners on a long-dormant slice of the Star Wars universe.
As a way of shaking up the racing game format, the run-based structure of Galactic Racer is more successful than the open world of Burnout Paradise.
Both a surprisingly fun Roguelite campaign and a racing treat for Criterion fans, this is just wonderful stuff.
Galactic Racer is another example of a studio taking some well-educated risks with the Star Wars IP to create something truly special.
Star Wars fans with fond memories of Episode 1: Racer will love Galactic Racer's rich fan-service and handsome production values, but they might find its complexity and difficulty to be a rude — and initially confusing — awakening.

Star Wars Galactic Racer is the best arcade racer in years. It mixes compelling racing action, an addictive progression system, and excellent world building while stringing a narrative through it all. It's very fast, and very dangerous. It's also very, very good.
