Star Wars Zero Company Reviews
STAR WARS Zero Company blends XCOM's tactical bite with genuine Star Wars heart and soul. It delivers a deep, richly characterful campaign that's absolutely well worth its price.
At the time of writing this review, I’ve spent just under ten hours with *Zero Company*, and it’s already clear to me that this is one of the best *Star Wars* games in recent years. The tactical foundation is solid, the Advantage System gives it its own distinct flavor, and you genuinely grow attached to your squad. It may not be as deep as *XCOM*, but it comfortably earns its place in the genre. What I find disappointing are the sluggish third-person sections, the meager selection of just four primary weapons, and, above all, the technical performance, which noticeably lags behind the rest of the experience. Still, if you enjoy turn-based tactics or are a *Star Wars* fan looking for an accessible entry point into the genre, it’s definitely worth picking up.

Star Wars: Zero Company is an fun turn-based strategy game that successfully blends the engaging systems of XCOM with the aesthetics and identity of the Star Wars universe, offering an interesting story, likable characters, and deep yet accessible mechanics. However, the PC version suffers from poor optimization, with bugs, stuttering, and unreliable graphical settings holding back an otherwise excellent experience.

Star Wars Zero Company successfully brings turn-based combat to the Star Wars universe, and this time it shines thanks to the depth of squad management, the variety of combat abilities, and the integration of exploration moments. These are enriched by the development of relationships between crew members, and the demanding nature of its combat systems provides an entertaining and challenging experience; something fundamental in a game of this genre.

Star Wars Zero Company proves that Bit Reactor's XCOM pedigree was no accident, delivering a tactical combat system built on smart action-point management, satisfying specialization combos, and mission design that keeps throwing new pressures at you mid-fight. The resource loop between missions adds real weight to every decision, even when the story carrying you between battles never quite rises above serviceable. Fans of turn-based tactics and the wider Star Wars universe will find plenty to love here, minor narrative shortcomings and all.

Overall, Star Wars Zero Company is the turn-based tactics game I never knew I wanted, and one of the best games of 2026.
Star Wars Zero Company blends XCOM's tactical depth with Respawn's cinematic flair, delivering memorable characters and aggressive, distinctive combat — one of the best Star Wars games in years, held back only by limited enemy variety.

At its core, obviously, Star Wars Zero Company is very firmly in the lineage of XCOM, so if you like that, you’re pretty much guaranteed to like this too. But by giving so much attention to the story and giving you a lot more freedom in how you approach its missions, Zero Company shows that even if it’s built on a formula, it’s not beholden to it, and that flexibility makes the game all the more enjoyable.
Star Wars Zero Company is an excellent tactical RPG that understands why this genre is addictive. It takes familiar XCOM foundations, removes some of the barriers to entry, adds some clever new mechanics and then gives the whole thing an absurdly attractive Star Wars coat of paint.
Star Wars: Zero Company is an incredible Star Wars experience. The exploration, along with some of the grittier aspects of the Clone Wars, is enjoyable. The moments that happen, which we won’t spoil, are incredible.
STAR WARS Zero Company is a game that understands why turn-based tactics are so addictive. It’s not simply about having the strongest characters or the best weapons. It’s about planning several moves, understanding your squad and adapting when things inevitably go wrong.
Bit Reactor gives the genre a fresh identity while still getting the fundamentals right. The combat is deep enough to challenge longtime strategy fans, yet flexible enough to remain approachable, while the characters are well written and backed by compelling stories of their own. RPGamers looking for their next tactical RPG should have Star Wars Zero Company at the top of their list.
Star Wars Zero Company proves the long‑untapped tactical genre fits the franchise perfectly, blending strong lore, sharp strategy, and memorable characters into a standout experience.
While "Star Wars Zero Company" emulates "XCOM," it will most likely never achieve its historical significance.

Star Wars Zero Company is a triumph in the tactics genre, striking a good balance that's approachable enough for newcomers, deep enough for veterans, and atmospheric enough to satisfy franchise fans. The game’s focus on small‑scale survival and squad dynamics gives it weight, while its tight combat design delivers consistently tense, rewarding encounters. This is definitely the Star Wars tactics game that you've been looking for.
Star Wars Zero Company is exactly the kind of genre shift Star Wars games have needed in years. It combines my favorite Star Wars era with a tactics system that is deeply rewarding, mechanically satisfying, and approachable. Bit Reactor clearly understands what makes the Clone Wars so special, and they've leveraged their experience with XCOM and Midnight Suns to create an experience that's restrained in its downtime while understanding why people play these games in the first place. That authenticity extends to everything from the characters and politics to the music, visuals, outfits, and sheer amount of detail packed into every location. Some technical issues need addressing, particularly on PC, but they don't take away from what is easily one of my favorite Star Wars experiences in years.
STAR WARS Zero Company won me over. It was obviously made by and for fans of the world's favorite sci-fi universe, with great respect to the source material and spinning established lore into something fresh and entertaining.
Star Wars Zero Company is an incredible Star Wars game and a genuinely brilliant tactical RPG that you won't be able to put down
Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Midnight Suns both showed how to deliver deep tactics with a sublime story, and Zero Company easily stands among that elite company of addictive turn-based decision-making and sublime storytelling.
