Ten years later, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess finally sheds all of its baggage and finally is realized as the great game it always was.

If you played the original GameCube version, don’t be surprised if that feeling you had playing the original feels lost in the twilight.

For those who have trodden the path of Twilight Princess' Hyrule before then it's a judgement call as to whether you want to walk that road again. The HD remake isn't as mind blowing as others before, but if its been a long time since you've played it, then revisiting Twilight Princess isn't the worst game to go back to.

I found "Twilight Princess" to be even better than when it was first released. It felt like coming home to one's childhood bedroom, revealing the impermanence of "home" while affirming the life-giving importance of having such shelters to return to from time to time.

A HD make-over and Hero Mode make a great game even better.

Personally, I found this remaster to have improved things just enough to cement me as a fan of Twilight Princess. The world is far more vibrant than before, and turning off motion controls removes almost all the frustration I experienced with the Wii version. I have an enduring affection for Twilight Princess' idiosyncrasies, creepy Malo Mart and all, and I'm glad we've had the chance to see the title refreshed for the HD generation.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is an excellent Zelda that features compelling dungeons, an interesting cast of lead characters, and a fascinating world to explore. For those looking to play Twilight Princess for the first time, this is the best way to experience this splendid game. If you played the game back in 2006, the new content and upgrades are worth revisiting as you ready yourself for Zelda Wii U.

There are a lot of people who trash the game as forgettable, while as many say that it's the best entry in the series. Both groups are right

Twilight Princess was a confused and under-appreciated game in its time, but this version is definitive, updating its overreaching graphics and making it an absolute blast to play and explore. This is a worthy remaster of the original; while it leaves some critical annoyances unchanged, it brings the game to a modern age and shows that even after ten years , it's still a fantastic entry in the series.

For those who have already played the previous versions, the idea of double-dipping is a harder pill to swallow. But consider this: if you had any qualms concerning the original title that have since been addressed and corrected in the HD version, Twilight Princess HD may be worth the retread again — especially if you happen to own any amiibo.

I've finished nearly every console Legend of Zelda game, and Link's adventure into the Twilight Realm, his partnership with Midna, and more makes Twilight Princess my second-favorite of the series. This HD version might not be as eye candy-worthy as Wind Waker HD was, but that really is a minor quibble for such an amazing experience. Ocarina of Time is still the Citizen Kane of video games, but for pure mood and soul Twilight Princess is unparalleled.

Twilight Princess HD is a good port and an intense and fascinating game. It just isn't the best Zelda chapter out there.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD preserves the best and worst of the 2006 original. Its opening can be tedious, but it's worth enduring so you can experience such a magical world.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD holds plenty of memorable moments that've stood the test of time, and Nintendo's high-definition update does a lot to modernize its look and feel. This cleaner, fresher presentation is still noticeably and disappointingly flat in some ways, but just past that are some of the best puzzles and dungeons to be found anywhere in the series.

Twilight Princess HD usually looks very good—at times, stunning—and thanks to the visual upgrades and streamlined gameplay, there's never been a better time for newcomers to digest its labyrinthine dungeons. On the other hand, for those who have experienced it already, it's little more than a tasty appetizer for the main course due out this holiday season. Its age is apparent in open-world areas and questionable pacing, but its clever puzzles and thick fan service are just as appealing now as ever.
