HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush is fun but very simple. HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush is a fun, family-friendly arcade racer. It is perfectly safe, clean, and vibrant. Additionally, it is ideal if you have kids who want to waste a few hours without the risk of violence. Although it lacks the depth of other racing games, it does exactly what you expect. Accordingly, it is good, and I recommend grabbing a copy from the Xbox Store!

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is probably the best Hot Wheels video game to date. Milestone gets it right with a fun open world to explore, great activities, races that are more exciting than those in Unleashed, and four types of vehicles that add variety to the simple, arcade-style driving.

Milestone manages to deliver a strong homage to the childhood days of playing pretend with toy cars with their new Hot Wheels Infinite Rush game.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is yet another fantastic game by a development team that knows what to do with the IP but the change to an open-world format holds it back from being truly incredible. If you’re looking for the kind of thrill you’d get from their previous titles, you may not get that itch scratched here but if you’re looking for something a bit more laid back, then this is for you.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush delivers over its full length what could only be hinted at during a one-hour preview. The world holds up, the handling never grows stale, and the progression—which I wasn’t able to properly judge at the time—ultimately turns out to be the game’s greatest strength. The package still isn’t entirely polished, however, as the AI suffers from too many inconsistencies and the Track Editor falls short of its potential. But anyone who can get something out of the franchise will find noticeably more on offer here than the brief preview initially suggested.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an entertaining arcade racing game that does a good job of capturing the essence of the original. The sense of speed is spot-on, and the tracks look great. The first few hours are definitely fun. After a while, though, the downside of the simple concept becomes apparent.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush succeeds in transforming the franchise into an open world and delivering a competent racing base, but in trying to scale up, it ends up abandoning some of the creativity and craziness that made Hot Wheels special.

"Hot Wheels Breaks Free from the Orange Tracks" Hot Wheels Infinite Rush successfully expands the series' identity into a fun open world without abandoning the orange tracks, speed, and mayhem that define it. The variety of cars and activities, the class system, Track Builder, and multiplayer give the experience solid content, while the relatively heavy driving, limited storyline, and some concerns about repetition remain its main weaknesses. Nevertheless, Milestone delivers an ambitious and enjoyable arcade experience that makes it one of Hot Wheels' strongest games to date.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a solid racing game when on the track, but the limitations on local co-op play and the frequency of immersion-breaking load screens hold back what could’ve been a great open-world racer.

The excellent foundations of the Hot Wheels Unleashed games have been carried over into a very fun open world racer experience, one that manages to shine during its chill exploration moments and in the midst of high-octane races on plastic tracks suspended above the cities you can explore.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush succeeds in capturing the nostalgia of toy cars within an open-world setting that feels like a massive theme park. While four-player split-screen and the track creator manage to save the overall package, a total lack of sense of speed, overly simplistic controls, and underutilized technical capabilities dull the final result. A charming pick for couch co-op session, but far from Milestone's finest work.

HOT WHEELS Infinite Rush was a pleasant surprise. I went in without being very familiar with the previous games in the franchise and found an arcade game that truly understands the fantasy of playing with these toy cars.

Having an open world sounds like a stroke of genius for a Hot Wheels game, and while I admit that there’s loads to see and do in Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, I don’t think its progression system, car collection, or editor mode are quite as enjoyable as what the Hot Wheels Unleashed games had to offer. Those games worked well because they embraced the fact that you were controlling a tiny miniature in the real world, making otherwise mundane environments feel absolutely enormous. By comparison, the open islands in Infinite Rush are packed with content and certainly cute to look at, but they lack that sense of novelty and scale.

"Hot Wheels Infinite Rush" is a good, fun racer – especially when competing against computer-controlled drivers in the main missions. The wild chases through loops, jumps, and banked curves are particularly enjoyable, and cleverly using boost boards and other bonus areas evokes a touch of "Mario Kart."

Hot Wheels™ Infinite Rush takes the popular car toys in a new direction with an open-world playground. Filled with vehicles to unlock, plenty of ways to customize your rides, and improvements throughout, it feels like a refreshing change for the series. While the number of islands is limiting and some missions feel repetitive, there’s plenty here to keep drivers clawing back.
