Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is exactly the kind of game I wish I could have shown my 10-year-old self.
There’s a ton of cool cars to unlock and secrets to find, although it won’t top Forza Horizon as the best open-world arcade racing game on PlayStation 5.
For younger players who want a bright collection of Hot Wheels cars and a big playground to drive around, there’s plenty here to enjoy. Players looking for the polished arcade-racing depth associated with something like Mario Kart, however, should probably keep their expectations in check.
Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a decent arcade racing game, but only because it features the same great handling from the Unleashed titles. Moving to an open world structure does little to add to the experience; if anything, I think it detracts from it. Having said that, there's absolutely still fun to be had here. Collecting all the cars and blasting through races is very enjoyable, and controlling these die-cast toys retains its appeal despite the game's faults.
All things considered, we have to admit that the conceptual ambition that gave birth to the project was not adequately supported in the production phase, delivering into the hands of fans a product that is visually successful and characterized by a pleasant driving model but somewhat weak in terms of structure. It remains a game aimed at an audience of all ages, with all the advantages and limitations that this entails.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush looks like a fantastic evolution of the franchise. The move to an open world gives Milestone far more room to experiment, while the simple arcade handling and toy-like presentation keep the experience accessible. This game delivers the variety promised by its four islands, activities, and huge car collection.

Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush is a really solid driving game with some frustrating choices made here and there. The biggest issue really comes down to how unlocking things is structured, which, for all intents and purposes, would be fine if it felt like you were making real progress while playing. Still, it manages to justify itself by being a fun and welcoming title that sits comfortably behind the wheel.
Whether taking on Daredevils or tapping into its deep customization elements, Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush and its vast open world truly lets players race beyond the track.
Hot Wheels' attempt to make the leap to an open world doesn't quite work out. The driving is fine, and some tracks recapture the brilliance of previous installments, but the grind of generic activities, simple races, and lackluster environments, combined with terrible, dizzying music, results in a game that just can't seem to get off the ground. Its creative aspects and the chance to unlock legendary cars from the well-known brand are the only incentives that have kept me playing a game that isn't helped at all by its graphics engine, Unreal Engine 5

Unfortunately, this ambition is heavily weighed down by a repetitive, grind-heavy campaign structure, unrewarding race payouts, and the glaring omission of a fast-travel system. It's a gorgeous and fun sandbox that ultimately struggles to maintain its momentum over the long haul.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is always fun and pleasant in a very arcade style always sticking with the world of license. It lacks a little madness in the official circuits despite the sensations of driving very well rendered. A pleasant and long moment to spend, we will regret the absence of multi-play local game and vehicles to win without the best stats.

The previous two Hot Wheels games felt closer to being toys, with tracks set up in bedrooms, offices and other locations, but the latest game drifts away from that theme and presents it as being in its own world. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but many fans will prefer the feel of racing accurately sized Hot Wheels cars, which set them apart from many other racing games. Of course, everything is up to personal preference, and Hot Wheels Infinite Rush has a lot to offer to the racing genre.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is probably the most ambitious game in the series developed by Milestone. The shift to a more open-world setting fits naturally with the franchise, and the art direction perfectly captures the feeling of playing inside a giant toy box. The driving is as accessible as ever, there’s a wide variety of vehicles, and the thrill of unlocking a new iconic car still works perfectly. Unfortunately, the open world doesn’t quite live up to all its promises. The different islands are separated by loading screens, and the vast majority of activities also involve interruptions that eventually break the flow. The different vehicle types are a good idea but aren’t utilized enough, and the variety of activities quickly shows its limitations. Above all, progression requires far too much repetition.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a fun open-world racer for all ages. There are loads of races to compete in and items/cars to collect. Online/local multiplayer and a track builder add longevity.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is a Hot Wheels fan’s dream. Best of all, it does the Hot Wheels brand even more justice.
