It's a short and sweet experience that is just as comforting as the original.
If there was one word to describe Toem 2, it would be “clever”. The application of camerawork is largely a win... outside of the tools, which still aren’t the worst, just the most obvious downside. Really, this is a cosy game that more than earns its title, and for that, it’s worth everyone's time to try.
Following patterns established by its predecessor, TOEM 2 offers players an unique experience as they explore and photograph the world around them. And it is a very charming world, thanks to the minimalist and monochromatic aesthetic of its environments.

TOEM 2 confirms that Something We Made knows how to create heartwarming experiences. While it feels more like a polished refinement of the original concept than a true generational leap, its new movement options, extraordinary variety of settings, and irresistible art direction make it a must-play for fans of indie titles and "cozy gaming." That said, consider this fair warning: for TOEM 3, we’ll be expecting something more!

Toem 2 is a charming, relaxing, and very fun adventure for those who enjoy exploring and uncovering secrets at their own pace. The use of the camera remains ingenious, and completing the worlds 100% is well worth the effort, but as a sequel, it’s a bit too conservative. Still, I recommend it.

TOEM 2 is the kind of game you fire up and all of your problems go away, at least temporarily. Your mind will get lost in its whimsical world and, suddenly, mooching about and taking photos is all you need to worry about. Call it therapy, call it fun, call it what you like, but TOEM 2 is delightful and good for the soul.
Toem 2 is a stellar game. You can clear it in a weekend, and you'll come out the other end feeling great about your time. It's a bigger sequel, yes, but it also keeps the simplicity that made the first Toem such a must-play. Something We Made knows they've crafted a winning formula, and the result is a pair of games that I believe everybody must play.
TOEM 2 delivers exactly what it promises: more TOEM, with the same care in the writing, the same visual charm, and some new ideas that work. The more linear structure takes away some of the exploratory richness that marked the first game, and the lower difficulty leaves a gap for those who wanted more challenging puzzles. None of this compromises the whole: it remains a delightful photographic journey from beginning to end.

Toem 2 is another delightful photographic journey that tells us all to slow down as well as explores the power of community.
TOEM 2 is perfect. I love the music, the collectables, the outfits, the puzzles, the camera tools, the changes, and everything that stayed the same. It has such a beautiful, wonderful vibe. I love going around and helping all the NPCs, chatting with the locals, and of course, seeing the TOEM for myself at the very end! If you liked the first one, or if you like cozy games in general, I think you will enjoy this game as well.
TOEM 2 preserves the essence of the original while expanding the experience without losing its cozy charm. Photography remains the main reason to explore every corner, while new tools, smoother movement, and larger worlds make exploration more varied and enjoyable. Its lovable characters, humorous situations, and distinctive art direction remain highlights, although the new features do not radically change the established formula and may feel familiar to returning players. Even so, TOEM 2 offers a charming and competent sequel that prioritizes curiosity and creativity over challenge.

More than just capturing a rare natural phenomenon, our journey to the Festival is shaped by the friends and experiences we gather along the way—much like life in the real world. It is both funny and sad to think that the game’s biggest weakness is having to say goodbye to it too soon. That alone demonstrates just how good Toem 2 is; anyone who tries it will find themselves wishing for a little more of that delightful, fun black-and-white world.

TOEM 2 is an absolute treat, expanding upon the photography-based gameplay loop of the first game in meaningful and rewarding ways. It’s so much fun simply exploring the world, discovering its secrets, and solving the creative (and often silly) requests of the folk within it, whilst the light platforming and environment-based puzzling add an extra layer of variety to the experience. Sure, it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, and yes, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish it was a little bit longer, but TOEM 2 still manages to stand out as a successful sequel that absolutely captures the magic of the first game.
My experience with TOEM 2 was the same as with TOEM. That means this sequel is a wonderful game that kept me smiling for the nearly five hours it took to achieve 100% completion. Yes, it is a short and simple game, but it is supremely fun and relaxing. The graphics are adorable, the melodies are beautiful and the characters are memorable.
