A below-par return for the series. The awkward controls and slow pace detract from what is actually quite a charming little tale about the human condition. Without more to grab the attention though, it just feels like the game never gets out of first gear

Ultimately, the story cannot make up for the rest of the issues the game has. It's average, pure and simple. Nothing spectacular or innovative and not even doing the basics of the game well enough. The final score is as high as it is purely because of how well written the story is.

There is a great adventure game here just begging to be broken out, however for now as Syberia 3 stands, Kate Walker's story is one best left washed ashore.

After thirteen years, Kate Walker's third adventure is a reminder that not all good things come in threes

Syberia 3 is another useless sequel to the cult game. Some interesting puzzles and great music can't save the project, filled with scenario holes, crooked mechanics and technical problems. If you want to play classical adventure game, then choose a gorgeous Thimbleweed Park and last year's remake of King's Quest, where everything is done right. Or, alternatively, just buy the first Syberia.

Syberia 3 isn't a bad game by any means and offers up an immersive story… If you can make it past the horrific graphical hindrances that is.

We didn't actually need Syberia 3: a senseless tryout for bringing a perfectly closed serie back in the spotlight. Syberia 3, with its mediocre (disappointing) narration and its poor technical design, should have remained Microïds' secret wish.

Flawed and often out of touch, Syberia 3 only serves a dedicated clutch of fans that have spent the past decade looking for closure to a beloved series. To anyone else, it will come across as a bizarre and mostly impenetrable relic that feels out of place among 2017's slate of releases.

Aside from a few highlights, Syberia 3 is frustrating with a simplistic story that never captured my attention

Syberia 3 is an adventure game with good story and puzzles but because it has so many problems in other parts that they will affect the pros of the game. These problems will prevent the game to have a great experience.

Adventure with clever puzzles, that stumbles over stubborn controls, technical quirks and stained graphics.

If this is the final Syberia game, perhaps it's for the best. Pure point-and-click adventure games are becoming rarer and rarer these days, and this entry does nothing to instill confidence in the genre. Between the glaring technical issues, over-the-top antagonists, and even lazy captioning, Syberia 3 is not recommended at its launch price of $39.99. If you absolutely need to complete Kate Walker's story, then perhaps wait until the price comes down, and play an adventure game that got things right, such as King's Quest.

Having never played the previous two Syberia games, I can only comment on Syberia 3 as a standalone game. I have to say overall it is currently not very polished. It does have two things going for it though, the story and characters adding a great amount of depth to a game which otherwise would fall into obscurity otherwise.

I really, really, really wanted to like Syberia 3. It had everything that would have interested me – Eurasian people in a Russian-esque setting with a brainy American girl as the lead. What I wanted and what I played, however, were two different games.

I really wanted to love Syberia 3, but the game is, unfortunately, a technical mess. It doesn't run or control properly which is very important for any game, no matter the genre. This takes you away from enjoying the great world that has been created, which is a shame. Hopefully, they can patch the game and help it run better, because the story for Syberia 3 and the art style are certainly very enjoyable.

A promising closer to the Syberia trilogy of games, Syberia 3 meets hardship in the way of spotty performance in both visual and sound design. Kate Walker's latest adventure is coercive to devotees of the series, but difficult to recommend over the numerous top quality eShop games in the same genre.

A long time coming and rather long in the tooth mechanically, Syberia III can't overcome its lack of polish, technical issues and shoddy script to really live up to its predecessors.

A game that shows a clear artistic design and a continuity with the first two games of the series, mostly on the puzzles rather than on the narrative side. Still, there are many flaws: the gameplay is pretty clunky, the control system is far from being precise, the game design shows several bad choices. If you loved the series, you may think to buy Syberia 3. Be aware, though: the game is not well-polished.

Despite being a technical disaster, the first hours of Syberia 3 are promising. Unfortunately, the game quickly gets too nostalgic, without finding the courage to complete the renovation process we all expected. A real missed opportunity.
