The puzzle-like missions of Crush Your Enemies are a lot of fun, as you race against the clock in a frantic rush to defeat the enemies, or simply grind with sheer weight of numbers. Ignoring the crass sense of humour and forgetable story, Crush Your Enemies does an admirable job of distilling the strategy genre down into a bitesized form.

Crush Your Enemies is an RTS that’ll hold your attention for a little while, with toilet humour you’ll either appreciate or hate, but there are plenty of better games in the genre already on the market.

Crush Your Enemies offers a quicker take on the RTS genre that both hardcore and casual fans will be able to get wrapped up in. It may not be a game-changer, but if you’ve been looking for an RTS with no nonsense then this is the one to get.

Pleasantly simple and with a sense of humor that fades in tandem with its tactical formula, Crush Your Enemies delivers fast-paced strategy with an old school look and an anti-fantasy flair. A bargain at $10, it provides a few hours of fun, but nothing more.

Crush your Enemies! is a fun strategy title on Switch that fills a need that I didn't realize I had. By cutting out a lot of the hoops RTS players are accustomed to jumping through, the shiny core of the genre is revealed.

Rather than investing in an immersive, intuitive, enjoyable gameplay experience, they have, unfortunately, created a generic and rather boring click fest of a game.

There's a chance Crush Your Enemies' toilet humour and machismo gags won't be for everyone - in fact, if you're easily offended this definitely isn't for you - but beyond its irreverence lies another successful attempt to transform the often complex RTS into a digestible format. The game's seemingly unnatural difficulty spikes can get a little tiresome, especially when you're overwhelmed so quickly, but with plenty of nuance stemming from its simple mechanics (and a really catchy little soundtrack), you'll soon find yourself managing your barbarian horde like a true chieftain.

Horrendous dialogue, overly simplistic controls and mechanics make for a terrible adventure for Brog and his Barbarians. Although it’s admirable to make a simplistic RTS, doing so completely strips any ability for the player to overcome the unfair odds that the game presents as soon as the tutorials come to an abrupt end.

Crush Your Enemies claims to harken back to the time when RTS games were more popular but misses the mark on many levels.

Crush Your Enemies hides a surprising strategical depth behind its crude humour. Whilst simple, it provides just enough challenge through the fast pacing to keep you engaged until everything in your path has been destroyed.

Crush Your Enemies tries to go for a simplified RTS route with its gameplay and falls flat. Combine that with hit and miss humor, and you have a strategy game that really only makes sense on mobile.

Overall, Crush Your Enemies! is a fun minimalist Real-Time Strategy release on Nintendo Switch that is fun to play in short burst here and there as well as for longer playing sessions. There's a ton of levels to complete, and your time playing the game will be increased considerably if you aim at completing all extra objectives so that you can 100% all stages. Are you up to the challenge?

There's nothing inherently wrong with Crush Your Enemies. It's presented nicely, has some nice, clean mechanics and is cleverly designed to be playable in short bursts of time. But it's also a strategy game that struggles to encourage players to be strategic, and its best feature, the multiplayer, is dead on release.

Crush Your Enemies is an excellent starter RTS, and a great way to practice micromanagement, but I personally think that it’s too shallow to have a lasting presence. It’s a well polished title with a great concept, but I can’t think why I’d want to play this over something that has more to it.

Vile Monarch’s Grzegorz and Kacper have done some awesome stuff in their career - 'This War of Mine' is a personal favorite. With 'Crush Your Enemies' I don’t know what happened. They tried to subvert the genre of mobile gaming and satirize the clickfest, and yet they just created what they were trying to parody.

Crush Your Enemies takes itself just seriously enough to stand out as a full-fledged title, but isn't afraid to have fun along the way. There isn't a lot to turn the RTS genre on its head, but the gameplay is solid. The developers obviously put a lot of work into laying out and balancing each map, then packing the rest of the game with a sense of humour and a light-heartedness that probably could've carried even a poor game to goodness—and this one was already anything but poor.
