World to the West offers undemanding puzzles with frustrating gameplay. I don't know, if it's a game for kids or adult players, but it fails in what it tries to do in both cases.

World to the West is the perfect example of how you can have all the good intensions in the world, but sometimes the execution is just bad. There are some nice ideas here and there, but too many bad design choices almost destroy everything good the game has to offer.

I enjoyed my time venturing through the different areas, and solving the many puzzles, but I didn’t like the slow gameplay. The constant swapping of characters and walking the same path was too tedious for me. This already has a large fan base, and I can only see it getting stronger because of its unique mechanics. Unfortunately, I won’t be jumping on that bandwagon. Do I recommend it? If you like slow puzzle games with an adventure twist, then yes. If you’re tempted, buy a copy here! Can your team of 4 strangers work together to unearth the treasure in the west? They must, otherwise failure is guaranteed and fate is wrong.

World To The West is worth considering if you enjoy adventure games like Zelda. I just wish it had a more interesting story, better graphics, and wasn’t so generic in its gameplay. Some will find enjoyment here, but I wasn’t impressed.

World to the West is a pretty good adventure held back by some fairly annoying flaws.

World to the West is interesting and captivating in its puzzle-based gameplay, as well as ambitious for an indie game that aims higher than it would be expected. It is on its technical component that World of the West disappoints, as it feels like several details were not ported as they should to the Nintendo Switch and in the end they somewhat harm the overall experience.

The game developed by Rain Games is basically the same, but this time a lot of the bugs of the other versions have been fixed, and that improved the overall experience. In addition, the Switch version is definitely more fitting to the core of the gameplay, best suited to a snatch and grab experience.

Despite its ingenious puzzles, some good ideas and fun boss battles, World to the West fails in many aspects, such as story, exploration, and atmosphere. As if it wasn't enough, there are also some bugs, translation errors and unclear suggestions, which certainly do not help. However, it's still a title that fans of puzzle games and Teslagrad will probably enjoy.

Teslagrad has a ton of fans and the hero has even become an icon of the indie scene, yet I don’t believe that World to the West will reach those heights, not even close.

I think World to the West presents some very strong ideas, but the execution doesn't always translate to captivating gameplay. If you're on the fence, my recommendation would be adding it to your wish list for a future sale.

World to the West is an entertaining indie title that combines action elements with logical puzzles very well. The stand-out element is the soundtrack that's worth listening on its own.

World to the West is a decent sequel from Rain Games but I can't help feeling it could have been something more. Everything here is pretty well made and is of a decent enough standard. I thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles, exploration and finding out a little more about the four characters. I don't want to spoil the story but it wasn't as good as it could have been and was a lacking depth for me. The combat wasn't challenging and it felt like it was just there to slow you down rather than being a meaningful part of this game. Overall, it's a decent effort and an adventure you are sure to enjoy.

World To The West is a nicely put-together adventure game, making use of a good roster of characters with different abilities to provide the player with enjoyable puzzles and combat. Some pacing issues and the odd niggle here and there prevent this game from being truly special but, if you are a fan of 3D adventure games full of humour and exploration-based puzzles, you'll definitely have some fun here.

The World to the West is a fun brain-teasing challenge which is worth a look for those who like to mix up their puzzling with some combat and exploration. It's no Zelda-beater, but for those seeking a PS4 alternative, you need only go West.

World to the West, despite improving the artistic style of Teslagrad, does not incorporate any gameplay mechanic that surpasses the impact of the original.

Minor niggles aside, I very much enjoyed exploring the World to the West and would certainly recommend it to others looking for an old-school Zelda-esque adventure to follow or distract from not having the sublime open world Breath of the Wild. It successfully captures the feel of a 16bit style adventure and combines this with charming characters and some great environmental ability-based puzzling. Plus, Lord Clonington has the potential to become a gaming icon for these hipster times. As I found myself unintentionally humming to myself, 'Together, we will go our way / Together, we will leave someday.'

Rain Games definitely knows how to make a quality title. If you have any fondness for Zelda, you should really check this out. Even if you don't happen to enjoy Nintendo's classic series, World to the West is fun enough to warrant a playthrough from even the sternest of players.

I did like World to the West, however it didn't get executed well enough in the later portion of the game.

A bit too simple when compared to its predecessor's rich Metroidvania gameplay, World to the West is still a pretty good game and will keep you entertained for a while

Overall while its pacing can and excitement can wane at times World to the West is an engaging and creative take on the top-down adventure. There are some very unique and inventive puzzles to solve, light combat sequences peppered about, and plain satisfying gameplay when it all comes together. If you’ve been looking for your next adventure fix World to the West is a trip worth taking.
