If you've missed the series, this is the perfect conclusion in every way, and I hope this is the start of a brand new saga in Uncharted's own legacy.

The Lost Legacy is proof that there's still life in Uncharted, though it'll need to break out of it's own formula a bit in the future. Chloe and Nadine could do that for the series. You just have to let them

Chloe and Nadine are a good salve for the loss I still feel about the ending of Drake's story.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy plants the seeds for great characters to push the franchise forward, but it takes its time getting there and hasn't changed much from Uncharted 4.

While I will continue to miss Sully, Nathan, Elena, and young would-be adventurer Cassie, The Lost Legacy is another amazing adventure in the living Uncharted world. Whether it spells the start of a new direction for the series, or a fun encore, it's an excellent experience for any Uncharted fan.

Anyone concerned about the absence of Nathan Drake in this latest entry into the Uncharted series needn't have worried.

As Nadine and Chloe take over the franchise, the Lost Legacy offers up all the thrills, spills and puzzles we've come to expect and is better for passing the Bechdel test

Even though Lost Legacy isn't as big (you can beat it in around 10 hours) or as good as Uncharted 4, it's still just as fun. And as long as the franchise continues to achieve that, I'll continue to play each installment. With or without Nathan Drake.

Uncharted: Lost Legacy is another Uncharted game, for better or worse. I loved its length and characters. I would love to see more spin-offs now that Nathan Drake's journey has come to an end. I feel like we don't get enough of these action adventure style titles and am always up for another one. I might say we don't need another Uncharted game once again, but if the series returns, you know I will be first in line to eat my words.

If there was ever any doubt of the talent at Naughty Dog, consider that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was made in less than a year. This sensational spin-off not only beds in two of the franchise's more mysterious characters, but it also gloriously repurposes several of the series' best moments. As a pseudo-Greatest Hits, the title will do little to tempt those who've had their fill of treasure hunting – but at a budget price (with multiplayer included) then this is essential for fans of PlayStation's most iconic brand.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy does pretty much what we expect from it. The visuals are stunning, and the cinematic gameplay are as jaw dropping as ever. The new system that let us explore the world more freely feels a bit odd, though – and is in need of more polish.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - beautifully crafted completely independent adventure, which has everything we love in the series. The game draws in an incredible maelstrom of events with exploration, puzzles, lively characters and stunning action scenes. And it's very pleasant that it was Chloe who became the main heroine of this story.

Taking the better aspects of classic and modern Uncharted, The Lost Legacy is a short, explosive chunk of adventure. Chloe and Nadine are elevated far beyond the supporting roles they once played, and both end up as interesting, formidable, and highly likeable characters, among the best in the series in fact. There's a greatest hits feel to some of the set piece moments, and the story takes a little time to get going, but this manages to be both a fresh direction for the franchise, and a warmly familiar experience.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy makes for a fun but brief journey while still boasting the same level of high quality that we have seen in past entries. While I would've loved to see more original content in this standalone journey, The Lost Legacy at the very least proves that the Uncharted franchise can still provide us with countless other adventures with Nathan Drake out of the picture. Despite not knowing when, where, or what the next Uncharted game will be, The Lost Legacy gives me hope and makes me excited to see what comes next in this series that I so enjoy.

The Lost Legacy eases off the set-pieces and globe-trotting, to its detriment. However, the heartiest of Uncharted's staples – its characters, camaraderie, and cutscenes – are here in abundance, and overall it's an extremely capable action title.

The latest in Sony's flagship blockbuster series is entertaining from start to finish

The Lost Legacy is both Naughty Dog's fun farewell to the Uncharted franchise, and a pitch for where it could go next. The smaller scale works for such swashbuckling adventures, and its more open-plan design shows how the series should evolve. Early promise falters around the halfway point due to some noticeable shifts in what the player is able to do in any given space, but it quickly ramps up again to a spectacular finale. The game also serves as a reminder of how strong the supporting cast of these games has been. Chloe makes for a fine hero, and Nadine would have been as well. Perhaps they'll get a chance to return one day.

If this is the last Uncharted game for Naughty Dog, it's a great epilogue to Uncharted 4 and a solid guide on how the game should move forward in case Sony wants to bring on another developer keep the franchise going.
